Information Update // Noticias Nuevas - Nintendo Wii U

Information Update - Nintendo Wii U

1.- Don’t expect a Final Fantasy game soon as it doesn’t sound like Square Enix actually has anything in the works. But Yoshinori Kitase, a producer has said that “after seeing Wii U revealed at Nintendo’s conference, we are now considering the possibilities of bringing the Final Fantasy series to the format.”

At this early stage it doesn’t mean a whole lot, but for Final Fantasy fans it’s a little bit of hope you can hold onto for the time being.
More Info, Including pricing and details, after the Break... (Como Siempre, también en Español...)
2.- Contracting what Nintendo or America president Reggie Fils-Aime said earlier this week, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has told the London Evening Standard that the Wii U ‘is not going to be cheap.’

Previously Reggie Fils-Aime told Gametrailers that the Wii U will be priced competitively against Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3.
3.- Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has confessed that the company spent too much time focusing on the Wii U controller, which left quite a few consumers bewildered about whether the Wii U is a handheld or if there is a console powering the device. Were you initially confused about the Wii U?

“Because we put so much emphasis on the controller, there appeared to be some misunderstandings,” he said. “We should have made more effort to explain how it works.”
“We haven’t made any kind of blunder, but I should have shown a single picture of the new console, then started talking about the controller,” he continued. “The console is not drastically different, and Wii U is about the controller. The console itself will be almost invisible.”
Iwata said that the press was also to blame, noting that it’s not possible to see how important the Wii U console is unless you’ve actually given it a try.
“There have been two groups of people writing about our announcement – those who have been able to experience the Wii U, and those who have not, and are simply writing about it from wire stories and pictures,” he mused.
“They cannot see how this can be a game changer. It reminds me of 2006, when we introduced the Wii for the first time. Here in LA, people enjoyed it, but in Japan, the atmosphere was very different. It seems to be the same this year.”
“What Wii U will offer is very different, but I believe we have the strong potential to change the entire format of videogames and of entertainment.”
- Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata

4.- Kotaku have literally got their hands on the new Nintendo Wii U: Kotaku

5.- More Trailers, and Videos, this time for Ghost Recon, and Super Mario Bros. Mii:

6.- Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge was one of the first games announced for the Wii U, and as reported by Kotaku, it will feature touchscreen controls similar to that of Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, which was designed for the Nintendo DS.

Here’s how they explain it:

The touchscreen-controlled Dragon Sword used screen taps to throw shurikens and move Ryu, swipes of the screen to jump and slash at enemies.
These controls are optional. And I imagine most people will resort to using the standard analog stick and button controls for the majority of their game-time.

Noticias Nuevas - Nintendo Wii U

5.- Más Trailers (Ghost Recon) y Vídeos (New Super Mario Bros. Mii):
