Information Update - Nintendo 3DS

1.- The 3DS is not selling too well. There’s a lot of reasons this is happening. Now, Michael Pachter, a very famous industry analyst is somewhat hopeful. As reported by Gamasutra:

He expects the company is currently well off targets for 11 million Nintendo DS, 16 million Nintendo 3DS and 13 million Wii systems in the fiscal year.

But, and this is the hopeful part, he does see “some potential to rebound” as there are “a number of applications and many strong software releases this fall.” 

He also believes that Netflix is a “key app,” especially if 3D streaming can arrive soon. For now, we know the 3DS beat sales in Japan last week. Let's see how it keeps faring.

2.- Gamers furious with Capcom’s decision to cancel Mega Man Legends 3 have taken to Facebook in protest. 

The 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 Facebook page has already amassed nearly over 14,000 Likes at the time of writing. It'd be great to show Capcom the fans really do care, so, let's get to 100,000.

CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama was asked by Siliconera about what project the acclaimed company would like to work on next. His response was Mega Man Legend 3. 
CyberConnect2 are the development studio behind the recently released SolatoRobo: Red The Hunter on the Nintendo DS.


“It would be Mega Man Legends 3. I really like the series!”

3.- Beyond the Labyrinth, as revealed in the first screenshots released, is a gorgeous, and wonderful-looking game. Now we have some more screenshots and it’s looking as beautiful as ever.

 

4.- Amazon has stopped offering the Cosmo Black Nintendo 3DS. If you go to the product page you’ll be greeted with the ‘Item under review’ message.

5.- Tetris 3DS is looking like a very solid, quite pretty game for the Nintendo 3DS. Here's the gameplay footage from E3 if you want to have a look.

The game is coming out this October.

6.- Zen Studios has announced that they’re bringing Marvel Pinball to the 3DS, with the game set to be released before the end of 2012.

7.- The official website for Cave Story 3D has just launched, and you can visit it here. It’s not packed with content at the moment, but it gives us another source of information to keep checking.

1.- La 3DS no está vendiendo muy bien. Hay muchas razones por las cuales ésto está sucediendo, pero de momento Michael Pachter, gran analista industrial, dice que ve "Esperanza en el potencial" de la consola:

Cree que la compañía está bastante por debajo de lograr su objetivo de 11 millones de Nintendo DS, 16 millones de Nintendo 3DS y 13 millones de sistemas Wii en el año fiscal.

Pero, y ésta es la parte de la esperanza, ve “potencial para volver” pues hay un número de aplicaciones y muchos lanzamientos importantes de Software en otoño.

También cree que Netflix es una aplicación clave, especialmente si se acaba logrando streaming en 3D. Por ahora la 3DS está vendiendo más que las demás consolas. Veremos qué pasa.

2.- Los jugadores furiosos con la decisión de la cancelación del juego Mega Man Legends 3, efectuada por Capcom, han cogido y han tomado acción en Facebook. 

El grupo de los 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 en su página de Facebook ya han logrado más de 14,000 Likes en el momento en el que escribí ésto. Estaría genial enseñarles a Capcom que a los fans sí les importa, hay que llegar a 100,000.

El CEO de CyberConnect2 Hiroshi Matsuyama fue preguntado por Siliconera sobre el próximo proyecto de la compañía. Su respuesta fue MegaMan Legend 3. 

CyberConnect2 son el estudio de desarrollo tras el fantástico juego SolatoRobo: Red The Hunter en la Nintendo DS.

3.- Beyond the Labyrinth, como fue revelado en las primeras pantallas que salieron ya hace bastante, tiene toda la pinta de ser un pedazo de videojuego "in the making". En estas nuevas pantallas se confirma.

 

4.- Tetris 3DS también parece un gran juego, con bastante variabilidad y muy buenos gráficos. Todo lo que se puede hacer con el Tetris, es inimaginable...

El juego sale en Octubre.

5.- Zen Studios ha anunciado que traen Marvel Pinball a la 3DS, con el juego a ser sacado antes del final de 2012.

6.- La página web oficial de Cave Story 3D acaba de salir, y la puedes visitar here. Todavía no tiene mucho contenido, pero si te interesa el juego, es una buena fuente de información.
