Nobunaga’s Ambition X Pokémon is a tactical RPG and spin-off of the Pokémon franchise. It’s not coming to the 3DS (only the Nintendo DS) but given that the announcement was a surprise, I figured it’d be worth paying at least a little bit of attention to it. Let me know if you want to stop writing about it though. Anyway, the firstscreenshots from the game are after the break and thanks to Chris for letting me know that if you visit the official website, and paste “ランセ” into the password box in the bottom right hand corner, you can see an extended trailer with gameplay footage.
3.- GameStop is selling the entertaining Metroid: Other M for a mere $6.99. It appears as though the price is just online, so you won’t be able to pick it up for that price if you pop down to your local store. I’d highly recommend purchasing it.
Konami has shown off the official box-art for Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D. The game which is a 3D remake of the critically acclaimed PlayStation 2 game is scheduled to be released in Japan on March 8th and is expected to arrive in Europe and the United States at around the same time.

WayForward has confirmed that Mighty Switch Force, which is arriving on the 3DS via the eShop in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand on December 22nd will sell for $5.99. That appears to be more than a fair price and it’s very likely I’ll share my first impressions of the game when it’s released.
King of Pirates from Keiji Inafune coming to the 3DS during 2012. It’s filled with cute creatures, pirates, and the story will stretch over three games. In other words, the signs point to it being somewhat awesome.
5.- Japanese consumers came out in droves to purchase the PlayStation Vita today with Sony expecting brisk sales for the console despite the launch missing some holiday shoppers. Several establishments opened early to greet eager gamers who had already pre-ordered their console’s. It will certainly be interesting to see next weeks Enterbrain and Media Create sales figures for both hardware and software.

- Sony Computer Entertainment Japan President Hiroshi Kono
Less than a day into the PlayStation Vita’s launch, the system receives its first firmware update; Version 1.50. The Sony Update Information page fails to specify exactly why the update was issued.
If you’re a current owner of the PlayStation 3 or PSP then you know that these updates are common and it looks like this trend of consistent firmware upgrades has carried over to the PlayStation Vita.
The photo above is a comparison shot of Lord of the Apocolypse running on the PSP (Top) with Lord of the Apocolypse running on the PlayStation Vita (Bottom) in their respective native resolutions.
