EA debuted a new Medal of Honor: Warfighter trailer during yesterdays Champions League final. The visually spectacular game is a direct sequel to the well-received Medal of Honor reboot which was released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC during late 2010. There have been rumours suggesting that Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be heading to Wii U when the game launches in North America on October 23, 2012, and in Europe on October 26, 2012.
Rumours have emerged online relating to the Wii U operating system, which is described as “huge” and “never seen before on a normal home system”. The source who claims to have knowledge of the OS states that Nintendo has reserved at least 512 MB of RAM for the operating system alone. Nintendo hasn’t shown of the system’s operating system, leaving only developers privy to such information. We should get a closer look at the user interface and the system’s capabilities in the next couple of weeks.
Kotaku has contacted a Nintendo of America representative to discover whether there’s any truth to the Star Fox-Metroid Fusion Saga rumour which was doing the rounds on the web yesterday. As expected, Nintendo of America replied with the standard ‘we don’t comment on rumour or speculation’. I guess we will just have to wait until E3 to find out.
A tester over at Traveller’s Tales has tweeted a photo of a slightly revised Wii U controller. The redesigned controller comes complete with twin Analogue Sticks, rather than Circle Pads, and features other minor tweaks. Nintendo has always maintained that we will see the final version of the Wii U controller at E3 2012, as the design which was revealed at last years E3 wasn’t final.
