1.- During a recent interview, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata was asked whether he felt that Nintendo is lagging behind rivals when it comes to online multiplayer. Iwataclaims that local cooperative play is Nintendo’s strength. Through local multiplayer, Iwata says, people can play and enjoy games together in the same room.Iwata believes that Nintendo shouldn’t try to compete with developers who make “Call of Duty-like games,” but instead invite them to develop their games, that are heavily reliant on online, for Nintendo platforms.

Tilmen from NintenDomination has uploaded 50 minutes of high quality footage from Level 5′s Time Travelers. Most of the captured footage takes place on the top screen of the Nintendo 3DS XL. Time Travelers is out now in Japan for the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.


Satoru Iwata confirmed that Nintendo will not be selling the upcoming Nintendo 3DS XL at a loss. Nintendo intends to sell the 3DS XL for profit but, according to Iwata, the profit margin will not be huge. The 3DS XL will be sold for a suggested retail price of $199.99 in North America, but retailers will decide its price in Europe.

Nintendo has announced that the latest Nintendo Direct will be released on July 18th. The broadcast will be 10 minutes long and focused on one game – Demon Training, which is a Brain Age sequel, for the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will be the presenter and will be joined by Brain Age supervisor Dr. Ryuta Kawashima. The name of the broadcast is “A Little Nintendo Direct Demon Training.”

Jeremiah Slaczka, the CEO of Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell, has confessed that he’s completely fed up with the arguments about whether or not the Wii U is as powerful as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Slaczka says that the Wii U is definitely more powerful than both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
