Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Nintendo has announced that its bringing out an Ice White Nintendo 3DS in Japan on November 3rd. The console will retail for the same price as existing models.

Today Nintendo of Japan announced the new color Ice White and Monster Hunter 3G bundled with Ice White, but according to GoNintendo, this was sent by the reader Will, who he said he received this flyer while at workin a video game shop in Fukuoka.

The top of the Ice White 3DS model is black; the inner bottom is white. The outside is white all around. Let’s hope Nintendo announce a Western release for the console.

Nintendo and Capcom have announced that they’re bringing out a limited edition Nintendo 3DS console to celebrate the launch of Monster Hunter Tri G. The bundle will be available to purchase on December 10th in Japan.

2.- Nintendo Japan has updated its Super Mario 3D Land website with a host of new and exciting videos for Super Mario 3D Land on Nintendo 3DS. 

The game is due to be released in Europe on November 18th and in North America on November 13th.

If you’ve visited the official Super Mario 3D Land site then you may have noticed what looks like a Luigi Tanooki statue. Of course, Nintendo haven’t confirmed anything, but it’s looking suspiciously like we will be seeing a Tanooki Luigi featured in the game.

Nintendo has released a bunch of artwork for Super Mario 3D Land.


3.- Nintendo has revealed today that the fantastic Mario Kart 7 will have the Tanooki power-up. The Tanooki power-up can be used either offensively or defensively as you can use it to protect you from incoming shells or to whip other opponents off the track.

“Fans of the Tanooki power-up will be glad to hear that the Super Leaf makes an appearance in this latest instalment giving you both offensive and defensive abilities. Use your Tanooki tail to both protect you from incoming shells and to whip opponents off the track.”

4.- There are new screenshots showing off various locations and the touch screen in Monster Hunter Tri G.

5.- Nintendo Japan has uploaded some brand new footage of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The new footage gives us a glimpse of Faron Woods, a place you’ll remember from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword unveiling. 

The game launches November 18th in Europe and November 20th in North America.

Popular online gaming publication IGN has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii will feature a mode for left-handed gamers. At the very beginning of the game you’ll be able to choose whether to you wish to play left-handed or right-handed.

6.- Nintendo has confirmed the following games will be playable at New York Comic Con:

• Super Mario 3D Land
• Mario Kart 7
• Pokemon Rumble Blast
• Shinobi
• Sonic Generations

Nintendo will also be hosting a Pokémon Gaming Lounge where people will be able to play with oversizedaugmented reality markers for the Pokédex 3D application.

7.- MarvelousAQL is working on a game currently codenamed Dragon Marked for Death for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is being worked on by the same studio who worked on Mega Man 9 and Yoshifumi Hashimoto has stated that “the online is going to be amazing, but we can’t announce anything else right now, though.”

1.- Nintendo ha anunciado que lanzará su nuevo color de Nintendo 3DS Ice White en Japón el 3 de Noviembre. La consola saldrá al mismo precio que las actuales.

La pantalla tope de la consola es negra, el resto siendo blanco y blanco-grisáceo. Esperemos que Nintendo la saque pronto en occidente, este color es precioso.

Nintendo y Capcom han anunciado que lanzarán una Nintendo 3DS de edición limitada, en un bundle junto al nuevo Slider Pad, y a Monster Hunter Tri-G. La bundle estará disponible el 10 de Diciembre en Japón.

2.- Nintendo Japan ha actualizado su página de Super Mario 3DLand dándonos acceso a una plétora de nuevos vídeos.
