1.- According to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, the Wii U will be released this yearbecause “it’s going to be important for the world.” Iwata explained that portable touchscreens, such as tablets and smartphones, are common household items that consumers use on a regular basis. Iwata believes that the Wii U GamePad, which will be bundled with the Wii U console, will be an important device for people who use electronic devices at their homes.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released in Europe on August 17th and in North America on August 19th. It will be the very first game that you can purchase as a physical copy from stores and as a downloadable title from the Nintendo eShop.

If you purchase a physical copy of the game, you can get 50 coins from Club Nintendo by manually registering a certain code. But if you purchase the downloadable version by September 20th and your Nintendo 3DS is linked to yourClub Nintendo account, you’ll receive 100 coins

Over the past few days, IGN has been listing the top 50 video game makers of all time and, the one and only, Nintendo EAD came out on top. Nintendo EAD (Entertainment Analysis and Development) is responsible for some of the most influential video game franchises in history including Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Metroid, Pikmin and The Legend of Zelda. Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo 3DS XL will feature a better anti-glare screen due to a drop in manufacturing costs. Nintendo says that the cost of anti-reflectivity coats were too high to apply them in the past, but now they’ve reached the point where the manufacturing process and cost balance make them possible to use.

Retailers will sell Nintendo 3DS game cards and each card will contain a download code, which must be redeemed from the Nintendo eShop to own a downloadable title. New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Demon Training cards, which will be released in Japan on July 28th, will be the same price as their physical game cartridges. Perhaps this is why Nintendo will be offering incentives for purchasing full digital games.
