1.- Nintendo confirmed that its Wii U launch games will run at 720p. However, third-party Wii U games that will be released this holiday will be running at 1080p. During a recent Wii U Experience, Nintendo representatives stated that the Wii U versions of Batman: Arkham City – Armored Edition and Assassin’s Creed III will run natively at 1080p.

When the Wii U ships this year, its eShop will be available from day one. Nintendo confirmed that users will be able to purchase both digital retail games and smaller-sized titles from the Wii U eShop. According to Wii U Daily, Nintendo explained theWii U eShop purchase options, – listed below – which are identical to the the Nintendo 3DS’s options.
Purchase directly from the Wii U eShop with a credit or debit card.
Purchase via a download code that you acquired.
Pre-paid download cards, which can be purchased from video game stores and online.


Starting this week, Japanese retailers will be selling download cards for two Nintendo 3DS games, New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Demon Training, which will be released in Japan on July 28th. The cards reveal the download sizes of both titles. New Super Mario Bros. 2 needs 2,950 blocks, which is equivalent to 370 MB, and Demon Training requires 1,600 blocks (200 MB).

Tai Yasue, director of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance has toldSiliconera that the development team has no further plans to celebrate Kingdom Hearts 10th Anniversary. Yasue says that Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distancefor the Nintendo 3DS is their way of celebrating the series long history.

Nintendo of Japan has announced that Japanese gamers will be able to download Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console next week. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels was originally only released in Japan in 1986 for the Famicom Disk System, and is referred to as Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan.
