1.- Wired recently received the opportunity to sit down with Yoshiaki Koizumi, who has been involved in all of the 3D Mario games since Super Mario 64, and discuss his thoughts on Wii U and the next Mario game.
More After the Break...
Surprisingly Koizumi confessed that he had only just learned about Wii U at this years E3, which suggests that there may not be a Mario title appearing on the console at launch.
“When I think about the two screens being used at the same time, it seems like an interesting opportunity to allow us to create a console game where two people are playing at the same time but can’t see each others’ screens,” he said. “It’s certainly an interesting approach, but I have to clarify that it’s not something that we’re working on just yet.”
Imagine one player working as Mario while the other is Luigi. The two could work against each other or with one another. Of course, Nintendo could also accomplish such an idea with online cooperative play. This idea would work great in a number of different games, though it would work even better if the system supported more than one Wii U controller.
3.- Pete Hines, the VP of Marketing for Bethesda, the developers of Skyrim has said “We want to make our games available to the widest audience possible on whatever platforms that will support the game. So to whatever extent new consoles fit with the kind of games we are making and support them technologically, we would certainly do that.”
So will Skyrim and Bethesda’s other work arrive on the Wii U? Maybe:
I honestly know nothing about the tech specs of the new platforms and whether or not they are a good fit for what we are making with say Rage and Skyrim and Prey 2. If they are a good fit for the kind of games we are making then absolutely, we would look to put them out for those.
Unfortunately, Hines was not able to “get into specifics.”
4.- About Mass Effect 3, the co-founder of BioWare has expressed at least a little interest in the platform, sharing that:
Any time you have a new interface option that’s really interesting to us. We obviously make games with a lot of depth. If there are ways we can improve upon how we deliver that and how we help players to experience it, that’s interesting.
Zeschuk also explained that “We’ll look at [the Wii U] and see what Nintendo does with it. They’ll always have the craziest, most innovative way to approach it. Then, we’ll think about how we might possibly be able to use it and see if it makes sense.”
5.- Destructoid has learned that Sega is planning to bring out another of the Sonic and the… games sometime later this year. We’ve already had Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic and the Black Knight on the Wii, and hopefully we’re getting another one.

Noticias Nuevas - Nintendo Wii U
Ya tuvimos Sonic and the Secret Rings y Sonic and the Black Knight en la Wii, y esperamos recibir otro.
