Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Yoshiaki Koizumi has told the Official Nintendo Magazine that the fantastic Super Mario 3DS will feature a number of popular Mario suits and power-ups.

We already know that the game will feature the legendary Tanooki suit but Koizumi says there are lots of adorable classic suits we will be able to enjoy when the game comes out this year. 

“I can’t reveal the actual number of power-ups in the game right now, but suffice to say that we do try to include enough so that people can enjoy a variety of different kinds of play experiences in the title.”

“Also, I should point out that we don’t necessarily decide on what number of famous Mario suits will appear in the game and proceed from there – we try to find interesting gameplay ideas and then try to settle on what to do in different places.”

“But I can say that we will definitely have some more familiar suits than just the Tanooki Suit.”

2.- Inchworm Animation, according to Bob Sabiston, its developer, is “an overly ambitious paint and animation program on Nintendo DSiWare.” 

The application was released in the USA on April 25th and we may be seeing a new version coming to the Nintendo 3DS. 

At the end of this interview with Joystiq, Sabiston shares that “people are asking a lot about a 3DS version, and I would love to do a 3DS native version,” so “if I find the time and energy to continue with it I would love to have an Inchworm 3D out there.”


3.- Last week consumers were outraged when they learnt that Capcom wouldn’t allow gamers to delete Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D save files. 

People instantly presumed that Capcom implemented this decision to stop gamers from trading-in the game, though Capcom say that wasn’t the case. Thankfully, US Vice President Christian Svensson has taken note of gamers reactions and has stated that this spectacle won’t happen again, ever.


4.- And now for something completely unrelated to the 3DS. Nintendo Japan has announced that it plans to deliver Miis for two popular Japanese comedians, Shuzo Matsuoka and Sanma Akashiya via the Wii Connect 24 system. 

The two stars have featured prominently in an advertising campaign run by Nintendo Japan over the past few months.

Ya sabemos que el juego poseerá la legendaria Tanooki suit pero Koizumi que hay muchos más trajes adorables que esperar para cuando el juego salga más tarde este año. 

“No puedo revelar el número de power-ups que habrá en el juego, pero basta decir que con el número que hay, los jugadores podrán disfrutar diferentes experiencias de juego.”

“También debo decir que no fijamos el número de trajes que tiene Mario en el juego y procedemos a partir de ahí – intentamos bucar gameplay interesante, y a partir de ahí decidimos qué hacer.”

“Pero puedo decir que definitivamente tendremos más trajes que la Tanooki Suit.”

La aplicación salió en los USA el 25 de Abril y podremos ver una versión nueva que llegará a Nintendo 3DS. 

Al final de la entrevista con Joystiq, Sabiston comparte que “la gente pregunta mucho sobre una versión de 3DS y me encantaría hacer una versión nativa de 3DS” así que “si encuentro el tiempo y la energía para seguir, puede que haya un Inchworm 3D.”

3.- la semana pasada los consumidores entraron en furia al enterarse de que no podían borrar los datos de partida en Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. 

La gente inmediatamente asumió que Capcom había hecho ésto para prevenir la compraventa de juegos usados, pero dijeron que ése no era el caso. Menos mal, US Vice President Christian Svensson ha tomado nota, y ha declarado que no volverá a pasar, nunca, nunca más.

4.- Y ahora algo sin ninguna relación con la 3DS. Nintendo Japan ha anunciado que planea sacar 2 Miis representando a dos grandes cómicos japoneses, Shuzo Matsuoka y Sanma Akashiya via el sistema Wii Connect 24.
