1.- Brian Martel, the co-founder of Gearbox Software has shared a couple of ways Aliens: Colonial Marines will be different on the Wii U.
As it was said in Yesterday's Update, “you’re going to see textures at a resolution that you haven’t seen on [the current] generation.”
Martel admits though that its the controller that makes him and his team the most excited to work with the platform. They are now working on:
- Turning the Wii U controller into the motion tracker from the Alien movies. This has been discussed previously.
- Placing sentry gun information on the controller.
- Creating a HUD-less environment.
2.- Operation Rainfall are reporting that they have heard from an anonymous source within Nintendo America who has told and confirmed to them that Xenoblade Chronicles is definitely coming to the United States.
The source has also stated that The Last Story is currently being translated into English for an American release. Once it gets localized it may get a release!
Presicely because of this, according to the Portuguese site Pown Block, and ultimately confired by Nintendo via a press conference event, the highly anticipated Xenoblade Chronicles is coming to Europe a month earlier than previously expected.
The game was originally set to be released September 2nd, but apparently Nintendo Europe has decided to release it on August 19th. The reason behind it is Nintendo want to capitalize on the hype that has been surrounding the title over recent weeks due to the Operation Rainfall campaign, which has had an important amount of success.
3.- Satoru Iwata doesn't seem to be a great fan of First-Person Shooter videogames. Even the thought of them making out that much money in the West and Europe makes his blood boil. Thing is, these kind of games haven't ever had success in the East, and he's not about to change:
“It is a reality that some of these [wartime shooting] games sell 10 million units per year in [the West], and this is one valid type of video game genre. I would personally feel sad if all video games became something like that, but on the other hand, I do not think such games should disappear.”

Martel admitió que es el mando lo que les ha hecho desarrollar juegos para la Nintendo Wii U. Están trabajando en:
- Hacer del controlador de Wii U el Controlador de Moción de las películas de Alien. Ésto ya ha sido hablado previamente.
- Poner información de la sentry gun en el mando.
- Hacer escenarios, y ambientes sin HUD.
2.- Operation Rainfall dicen que han obtenido información de una fuente desconocida en Nintendo America que les ha confirmado que Xenoblade llegará a Estados Unidos.
La fuente también dijo que The Last Story está siendo localizada. Una vez que acabe el proceso de localización, se le dará una fecha.
Precisamente por ésto, las operaciones del grupo, y según un sitio web Portugués y posteriormente confirmado por la misma Nintendo en una conferencia de prensa, Xenoblade llegará a Europa 1 mes antes de lo normal.
El juego iba a salir el 2 de Septiembre, pero Nintendo lo ha decidido cambiar por el 19 de Agosto. La razón por la que Nintendo lo hace es por el hype que ha ido teniendo el lanzamiento de este juego alrededor del Mundo, y la Operación Rainfall, que proporcionarán éxito seguro.
3.- Satoru Iwata no parece ser un gran fan de los juegos de shooter en primera persona que han dominado en Europa y América estos últimos años. Y con razón, dice:
“Es una realidad que estos juegos venden como 10 millones de copias al año en Oeste, y es un tipo de género de videojuego válido. Personalmente, me sentiría muy triste si el género se convirtiera en el único, pero tampoco creo que desaparecería.”
