1.- Square Enix has revealed that Dragon Quest X may be able to connect to the 3DS.

Supposedly, a feature is in development that would allow you to transfer your character to the 3DS and meet other people’s characters via StreetPass. The characters you meet would appear in the main game.

Square Enix has finally shown off Dragon Quest X to the general public. The game which was originally an exclusive title for Wii is now coming to both Wii and Wii U. 

Dragon Quest X is an online RPG and will be released on Wii sometime during 2012. The game is being developed internally by Square Enix, which is a first for the series.

Whilst you can play Dragon Quest X alone without the help of other online players, you will still need to have a constant internet connection. When you start the game, the first few hours can be played offline but to play through all of the game you will require an internet connection. Dragon Quest X will be available on Wii next year and Wii U sometime after.

Judging from the reactions on Internet forums there seems to be a large amount of people who are disappointed at Square Enix’s decision to make Dragon Quest X an online game for Wii. Masahiro Sakurai, president of Sora and the creative force behind Smash Broswas questioned by his Twitter followers who were all interested to know what he thinks about the game, here’s his response:

“After hearing that it’s online, the number of people who say the classic style Dragon Quest would be better is probably not low. However, in a game industry where evolution and sudden changes are tolerated, even considered expected, just treading the same path would be be troubling. It’s being made by people who’ve made sound titles in the past, so I’m greatly looking forward to it.”

Siliconera has posted some fresh information from last nightsDragon Quest X conference. Below is pretty much all you need to know so far regarding the highly anticipated title that’s due out on Wii next year and Wii U sometime shortly after.

- Five continents of Astordia: the mesa-like Ogrelead, Eldona, a mountainous region called Dwachakka, Pukuland, and an island area Wena
- Ogres are known for their strength and courage
- Wedi (the blue water-like creatures) express themselves with songs of love
- Elves honor nature
- Dwarves value craftsmanship and wealth
- Pukuripos live to dream and laugh
- Travel with up to three characters
- Game doesn’t have a transition to a battle screen
- A monster’s name changes color as its takes damage
- Can leave your character at a bar when you log out
- Alchemy: enhance weapons/armor with special effects
- Sewing: make a template for equipment

2.- An update to a Nintendo product page has revealed new details about Sonic Generations on the 3DS. The page mentions that you’ll be able to re-play stages with Sonic’s friends after you have rescued them and this will allow you to experience the levels in a different way. 

It’s mentioned that StreetPass will be used to gain missions and collectibles. You’ll be able to use Play Coins to unlock new challenges.

3.- Level 5 has released a trailer for Ni no Kuni. 

The trailer is for the PlayStation 3 version of the game but Studio Ghibli and Level 5 have also worked on a version for the Nintendo DS which came out in Japan on December 9th.

Supuestamente, una función especial está en desarrollo que permitiría transmitir el personaje a la 3DS y hacerlo conocer a  más personajes vía StreetPass. Los personajes que encuentres, estarán posteriormente, en el juego.

Square Enix por fin ha mostrado Dragon Quest X al público general. El juego que originalmente iba a ser un exclusivo de Wii, ahora llegará a la Wii y a la Wii U.

Dragon Quest X es un juego RPG Online que saldrá para la Wii algún momento de 2,012. El juego está siendo desarrollado internamente por Square Enix, algo completamente inédito para la serie.

Aunque puedes jugar a Dragon Quest X sin la ayuda de más gente online, sigues necesitando tener una conexión constante a internet. Cuando empiezas el juego, las primeras horas se pueden jugar sin online, pero para jugar al juego entero se necesitará una conexión a internet. Dragon Quest X estará disponible para Wii y Wii U el año que viene.
