More After the Break...

Geoff Keighley, host of Spike TV’s GameTrailers TV, has told his Twitter followers that he and his crew have just filmed a “huge top-secret game” for their E3 coverage. Keighley then went on to say it’s a game that no one will see coming. Any thoughts of what it might be?

“Today we filmed a huge top secret game reveal for our E3 coverage. Can’t wait to share it with you – no one will see this one coming.”

Chart-Track data has revealed that the Nintendo 3DS is nearing the one million sales mark in the United Kingdom. During its 61 weeks on sale the handheld has sold almost 950,000 units. By comparison the Nintendo DS managed to sell one million units in the United Kingdom after 51 weeks.

Paul Gale, who first reported on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, is reporting that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is coming to Wii U. Gale claims that Mercury Steam will be providing a “safe” port of the game which is also coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Playstation Vita. The development studio will apparently be debuting the game at E3.

A developer claiming to be from Ubisoft Milan has posted a batch of Wii U related information on an Italian message board. The developer believes that the price for Wii U will be between $350 – $450, and that the system will launch on November 23rd. 2.- Gearbox software and Sega have confirmed that Aliens: Colonial Marines won’t be making an appearance at next months E3. There was speculation that Aliens Wii U would be a timed exclusive for the console, but this is now sounding unlikely. Sega announced earlier today that Aliens: Colonial Marines won’t be released until next year.

Nintendo might be planning to sell the Wii for $99 sometime later this year. The rumour comes from a Kmart employee who managed to take a snap of the revised pricing for the console from the company’s database. It would make sense for Nintendo to announce a price drop for Wii during E3 as the company shifts its focus onto Wii U, which is due for release later this year. We should know for certain in just a couple of weeks.

The 2012 E3 Expo is right around the corner, and fans from all over the world can look forward to accessing the latest Nintendo news right from the comfort of their homes. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow producer David Cox and director Enric Alvare are apparently busy developing Castlevania: Mirror Of Faith for the Nintendo 3DS. The site thatpublished the rumour claims that the development team will show off the game at E3.

As a follow-up to this story (which involved a leaked photo of the Wii U controller in its final form), it seems as if the leaker of that photo has since been fired. According to Erlend Wollan, a system development consultant, the person who leaked the image may even be taken to court. A very messy situation, indeed.
