Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Although a new Harvest Moon was recently revealed for the Nintendo 3DS, Natsume has announced that they are currently working on a brand-new game alongside Rising Star Games and TOYBOX. The game is codenamed Project Happiness and more information about it will be shared during E3 next week.

Anyone can watch Konami’s presentation tonight on their website. Konami has releasedposters to get fans excited for the event – one of which is posted above. THQ president Danny Bilson has told Eurogamer that Saints Row 4 will have a wider appeal than its predecessors due to the changes the development team have made to the game. The basically formula should remain unchanged, but Bilson says they’ve added in plenty of new and cool features that should expand the appeal of the franchise. Bilson says that THQ is unlikely to talk about the game for 12 months as development could be shifted to next generation consoles.

Karl Stewart, Crystal Dynamics global brand manager, has stated that the development studio will be making a very big announcement after the new Tomb Raider trailer is shown exclusively on Spike TV at 10:00pm PT this evening.

The voice actors of the main characters in the English version of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS have been revealed. Longtime fans of the series will be pleased to know that the majority of the cast from the original game, Kingdom Hearts, are returning. Are you tired of their voices or are you happy that Square Enix will not sway too far from tradition for the series’ seventh installment? The game will be released in less than two months.

Ubisoft has announced the development of Rabbids Rumble exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. Rabbids have infiltrated the handheld console and will be back to wreak havoc in November 2012.

The wacky Rabbids have been let loose throughout seven different worlds and players must battle it out in-game to capture over 100 Rabbids and complete their collection. Rabbids Rumble is full of interactive mini games that fully utilize the 3DS hardware, most notably with the 3D and Augmented Reality where players will interact with the Rabbids like never before. This new experience causes Rabbids to surge from the floor, fly around and even battle it out atop the kitchen table. Rabbids Rumble also features multiple game modes including a solo campaign and multiplayer battles.

For the first time in franchise history, Rabbids Rumble will introduce an accessible and hilarious turn-based combat system. Players will be able to challenge their friends to intense battles mixing tactics with the Rabbid’s classic wackiness. Each Rabbid comes prepared with hilarious combat abilities and can be trained to become stronger for battles. Using the SpotPass™ function, new & rare Rabbids will be available to download to enrich each fans collection. Fans can also use StreetPass to compete in battles to unlock new Rabbids and items.

2.- Warner Bros has just announced that Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm is bringing a new project, Injustice: Gods Among Us to Wii U. The game is a beat-em-up which is based upon the DC Universe.

Injustice stars Justice League characters including Batman, Superman, The Flash and Wonder Woman, as well as villains Harley Quinn and Solomon Grundy. NetherRealm has yet to confirm who else will be making an appearance.
