1.- This years Jump Festa, the annual Japanese manga and anime focused gaming event, will see the Pokemon Company attending for the first time.
More After the Break...
The end of year event usually has quite a few special announcements, hopefully a new Pokemon related game for the Nintendo 3DS will be one of them.
Nintendo has revealed the Japanese box art for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Japanese gamers will be able to purchase the standard edition of the game shown or alternatively they can purchase The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 25th Anniversary Pack.
2.- In a somewhat controversial move the hosts from G4TV have stated that they don’t believe that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii ‘has graduated’ from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64.
Adam Sessler: Zelda. I think it is curious. Of course I’m going to play it, but it’s not drawing up that same level of enthusiasm that a Zelda game usually would.
Morgan Webb: *Yawns* Okay, I think basically what it is is that you show Zelda and then right after that we showed Uncharted, and just the difference in graphics and just adult nature of Uncharted…the graphics were beautiful.
Adam Sessler: And the evolution of gameplay…it doesn’t feel like we’ve really graduated from what we experienced in Ocarina of Time.
Morgan Webb: And how great would a Zelda game be on a modern console with modern graphics
3.- Nintendo has confirmed that the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 25th Anniversary Pack will be produced in a limited run this year.
The pack which comes with the Gold Wii Remote, Skyward Sword and the soundtrack CD will only be produced in a small run during 2011, with additional stock released in 2012. Make sure you pre-order!
4.- Gamestop has announced that anyone who pre-orders the fantastic Super Mario 3D Land on the Nintendo 3DS will be eligible for this adorable key chain.
The key chain seems to be a Gamestop exclusive in the United States but undoubtedly other stores will offer it in other countries.
