Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- According to the official Nintendo Developers website, there will be a Nintendo 3DS Developer Conference on May 17th. 

Some of the topics that will be discussed include the eShop, apps, internet connectivity, digital distribution, Streetpass, AR functions, and tools/middleware updates. It’s only open to certain individuals in the gaming business but hopefully someone will leak any juicy details that come from this conference.



2.- This weeks publication of the Japanese gaming bible Famitsu apparently details what we will see when the long awaited Nintendo 3DS eShop launches sometime later this month.

Nintendo have kept rather quiet on when exactly we will be seeing the proposed May firmware update which brings with it the Nintendo 3DS eShop and the Nintendo 3DS web browser. Hopefully we should hear more about it soonish.

3DS Ware – Rockman Dash 3 Prologue (200 yen), Petitcom (800 yen)
DSi Ware – import DSi Ware from DSi to 3DS
3D Classic – classic titles in 3D, Excitebike, Legend of Zelda and Xevious will be available
Virtual Console GameBoy – Ikari no Yousai, Phantasm
Virtual Console Game Gear – Sonic & Tails 2, Sonic Drift 2, Dragon Crystal, Columns

3.- A message posted on Nintendo development site Wario World states that Nintendo are holding a developers conference on 17th May in Hollywood, California.

The conference will include a plethora of producers, designers and descision makers who will discuss the forthcoming firmware update along with the console’s content and messaging distribution methods and its native capabilities.

4.-  Capcom has revealed exactly when consumers can get their hands on the fantastic looking Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is due to go on sale in the United States Tuesday, June  28th. We knew it was due to be released sometime in June but it’s great to finally have a firm release date. Who’s looking forward to picking this one up?

5.- A redditor recently posted an image showing off a Nintendo 3DS prepaid card which can be used to purchase items on the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS eShop.

The Nintendo 3DS prepaid card was found at a store in the United States, and if legit, shows that the firmware update which will include the eShop and web browser will be coming this month as Nintendo has previously stated.

Nintendo se ha quedado callado sobre la fecha en la cual saldrá la eShop para la Nintendo 3DS, pero esperamos oír más sobre esto pronto.

4.-  Capcom ha revelado la fecha de salida para su juego Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D saldrá en EEUU el 28 de Junio. ¿Cuándo creen que saldrá en Europa?

5.- Un redditor ha posted an image enseñando una tarjeta de prepago para la eShop de la Nintendo 3DS..

Si esto es verdadero confirmará que la eShop, tal como dijo Nintendo, saldrá a finales de Mayo.
