1.- Capcom has released a new screenshots of Resident Evil: The Mecenaries 3D. There are over thirty new screens and they all look great. But you won’t have to wait long to try it out for yourself since the game will be out very soon.

You can see the remaining 23 Screens here: Nintendo3DS
2.- Square Enix and n-Space are teaming up to bring Heroes of Ruin to the 3DS.
We don’t know anything about the game just yet, but Square Enix did show off a piece of artwork (which is above) and n-Space promises further news about the game soon. We’ll probably hear a few things during E3 which kicks off on June 7th.
3.- The Free Software Foundation hate the terms of service for the Nintendo 3DS. They believe they’re unfair, pointing out how Nintendo can brick your system and also claim ownership of the content created via their platform. In response to this they’re sending two hundred bricks to Reggie Fils-Aime.
This is supposed to be some sort of statement to get Nintendo to pay attention to their pleas. But while I’m all for freedom of speech and all that, this just seems moronic. Why would Nintendo do anything in response to receiving a small mound of bricks? I doubt very much Reggie will even see them.
But at they do confirm that Nintendo has different rules for handling piracy and the ownership of content around the world as to comply with various laws. For instance, here is a statement from Nintendo of Europe:
Nintendo would like to reassure any concerned consumers that under our European terms and conditions and in compliance with European requirements Nintendo does not have rights to user content, such as comments, messages, images, photos or movies, which are shared in private communications between users or simply stored on Nintendo 3DS.
The Free Software Foundation seems like a group of conspiracy nut-jobs. And that image isn’t being helped by them sending two hundred bricks to Nintendo. They probably have a lot of ideas that are in our best interests, but a smart idea masked with a crazy gesture is not going to help the situation.
4.- Nintendo Power reviewed Ocarina of Time 3D in their newest issue, giving it a score of 9.5 out of 10. Here is a summary of their review via Nintendo Everything:
The magazine made sure to point out the positive impact of the 3D visuals and the new touchscreen usage. Although Navi is apparently more of a nuisance this time around, Nintendo Power believes that the 3DS game is significantly better than the N64 version.
I’m not sure many people were exactly waiting to make their minds up about buying Ocarina of Time 3D based on reviews. But just in case you were, then hopefully you’re satisfied with this appraisal. If you haven’t done so already you can click here to preorder the game.
Update: Wondering how Navi is even more annoying? Here’s the explanation:
…more often then not she interrupts the game to repeatedly suggest that you take a break from playing or go watch a hint movie. Turning to her for advice when I’m hopelessly stuck only to get great tips like ‘Keep Moving!’ or ‘The barrier is blocking the door, there must be some way of opening it’ is like pouring salt into a wound.”
How wonderful.
5.- Live in New York City? Have some free time on June 7th? You may want to head to the Nintendo World Store to take part in an event being run by the StreetPass NYC folks.
People in attendance will be able to partake in tournaments to win prizes, a game of E3 Bingo and watch Nintendo’s E3 press conference on a “huge screen” from 9am PDT onwards. There’s also an “AR Cake,” which could be interesting.

Genial.
