Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Nintendo has recently sent out sent out this press release (translated version here) revealing that the Nintendo Video service is supposedly launching in Europe on July 13th. Nintendo has also recently confirmed the details surrounding the new press conference event on July 19th.

The translation of the press release is imperfect at best, but some of the content that seems like it’ll be available from day one includes:

• Selected episodes from Oscar’s Oasis, a cult cartoon series. These will be in 3D for the first time.
• Country-exclusive content. At this point all we know is that Germany will have access to assumably short documentaries about nature, science, travel and more.

Remember, unless someone takes the time to completely translate this (and if he has got the knowledge) I'm hesitant to confirm anything, as these are still just unconfirmed news. (Although I think Nintendo Video will be launching this week).

2.- Nintendo UK are holding a press event on the 19th and the 20th of July. Well, that press event is actually a Media Day. Nintendo are taking the opportunity to show off the software that they showcased at this years E3 event which took place in June. 

There will be plenty of highly anticipated titles to try out including Super Mario 3DS and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Mark from MyNintendoNews, has received the following message:

You are invited to a Nintendo UK showcase, following E3 2011.

Discover the possibilities of Nintendo 3DS and immerse yourself in multitude of upcoming blockbuster software titles; including Super Mario, Mario Kart and Luigi’s Mansion 2. You’ll also be able get hands on with the incredible The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword only on Wii*.

3.-  Square Enix has released the first screenshots and the logo for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, a rhythm game based around the Final Fantasy universe.

4.- Burnout Crash has received mixed reactions from the majority of Burnout fans. It looks as though it’s a massive departure from previous Burnout titles. 

What is interesting though is that the game was originally developed from the ground-up as a Wii title but for some unknown reason Criterion Games decided to scrap it for Wii and instead bring it across to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

5.- Best Buy is running a “Buy 2 Games, Get 1 Free” offer. You can buy any two games for any of the major gaming platforms (including the Nintendo 3DS) and get a third game (of equal or lesser value) for free. 

You can mix and match these games too. You could buy a Nintendo 3DS game and an Xbox 360 game but then get a PC game for free. It’s up to you. Simply click here to check out the offer’s page for details.

1.- Nintendo hha sacado un comunicado de prensa en el que se revela que el servicio de Nintendo Vídeo supuestamente será lanzado en Europa el 13 de Julio, pasado mañana. Nintendo también ha confirmado detalles sobre la conferencia de prensa que dará el 19 de Julio.

La traducción de la página no es muy buena, pero ésto es lo que nos podemos encontrar en Nitnendo Vídeo:

• Episodios seleccionados de Oscar’s Oasis, una serie de dibujos animados. Estarán en 3D por primera vez.
• Contenido exclusivo a cada país. De momento sabemos que Alemania tendrá acceso a pequeños documentales sobre la naturaleza, ciencia, deportes, viajes, y más.

Recordad, debido a la presumible mala traducción de la página, nada está realmente confirmado, pero sólo quedan unos días para el miércoles 13, así que ya veremos.

4.- Burnout Crash ha recibido críticas mixtas debido a que rompe bastante con el diseño de otros juegos de Burnout. 

Lo que es interesante es que el juego fue originalmente diseñado para la Nintendo Wii, pero por alguna razón, Criterion Games decidió tirar el de la Wii, y cambiarlo por Xbox Live Arcade, y PlayStation Network.
