1.- Nintendo of America has announced today that it’s launching the ultra-cool Flame Red Nintendo 3DS in the United States on September 9th.
The console will retail for $169.99 and comes out on exactly the same day as Star Fox 64 3D.
Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime told MTV Multiplayer that the company are extremely happy with the form factor of the Nintendo 3DS and have no plans to introduce a new and improved model. We all know there’s a few people out there waiting for a revised edition of the Nintendo 3DS but it doesn’t look like we will get one anytime soon.

2.- Nintendo has told MTV Multiplayer that Super Mario 3D Land will be launching November 13th and Mario Kart 7 will be launching December 4th.
The website has taken down the dates presumably because Nintendo wanted to announce them personally.
3.- I’m not really too sure what the people over at IGN have been smoking recently but this article is wrong in so many ways. I mean you have to wonder whether or not the person behind the article has even played titles such as Super Mario 64, Kirby’s Epic Yarn or the Super Mario Galaxy series.
All of the aforementioned titles have clearly evolved since the early days of the Super Nintendo and the Nintendo Entertainment System.

4.- Nintendo’s UK marketing assistant for DS Rebecca Archer has told trade publication MCVthat the company believes that there is ‘an appetite’ amongst gamers for Star Fox 64 3D.
Nintendo are clearly hoping this re-release is going to be a big sales hitter for the company.
5.- Eurogamer is reporting that GameStop are currently selling the Nintendo 3DS for a mere £134.97 ahead of the official price cut. At this precise moment in time only the Cosmo Black Nintendo 3DS is available on the website for this price.
Tesco are now selling the Nintendo 3DS for £115.

6.- Nintendo of America are looking to gauge interest in European sales of Xenoblade Chronicles before deciding to release the game in the United States.
Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime told IGN that the company is looking closely to see how well Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story andPandora’s Tower all do in Europe before committing to releasing them in the US.
According to Reggie, the recent measures Nintendo has taken with the 3DS were done in order to assure the 3DS has a strong momentum. He also noted that the reason the 3DS experienced a slowdown was because the first party games were not made available as quickly as they should have been. He also cites the eShop’s June launch as a factor for the 3DS’ slowdown.
Reggie says the support from third parties such as Capcom, Ubisoft, and SEGA is coming, but the 3DS launch affirmed that it is the the duty of Nintendo’s first party titles to drive the install base.
Reggie denied claims that one of the problems the 3DS experienced was consumers having a hard time differentiating the 3DS from the DS family of handhelds. He believes that what Nintendo failed to do was have some way for key demonstrations of the 3DS features available to take home such as Ocarina of Time to demonstrate the 3DS’ graphical and 3D capabilities and the eShop to show off the SpotPass feature.
