2.- Capcom has unveiled the very first high quality images of Monster Hunter Tri G on the Nintendo 3DS. The images aren’t the biggest but that’s to be expected as they’re from the Nintendo 3DS. Let’s hope Nintendo once again partners up with Capcom to bring this game to the West.

Capcom have opened the official site for Monster Hunter Tri G. The site has a lot of details about the game including information about:
  • Boss monsters
  • Hub town called Tanzia Harbor
  • Weapons
  • Touch screen customization
  • Hunting companions
You can check the site for yourself here.

Capcom has said they have no plans to release Monster Hunter Tri G outside of Japan. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but it’s not in the works.

Kaname Fujioka, the director of Monster Hunter Tri G, has revealed that the game is entirely in 3D and will even include a new portside area designed especially with the 3DS’ 3D capabilities in mind. He also confirms that the touch screen will feature various panels that are useful for hunting and that the player will be able to choose which of the panels to display on the screen. One such of these touch screen panels is a target camera panel that automatically turns you in the direction of the monster you’re hunting when it’s pressed.

Ryozo Tsujimoto, the producer of the game mentioned that the second circle pad accessory, which can be used with the game, feels really good in one’s hands and is also easy to control. He also mentions that the main monster, known as Blakydios, releases a sticky and explosive goo-like substance whenever it punches, so players have to be aware of its location at all times. Tsujimoto also revealed there will be 12 weapon types in the games which will all be usable underwater.

3.- A statement from Nintendo has confirmed that the circle pad accessory is a Nintendo-made product.

The statement also confirmed that more details on the accessory will be coming at a later date, which will probably end up being September 13th.

4.-  Beyond the Labyrinth is a 3D dungeon RPG in which you and your companion, who has now been revealed to be the girl shown in all the previous media, make your way to the top of a labyrinth. In the labyrinth you will encounter enemies which you’ll have to battle with your unknown party members. As mentioned previously, the game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show.

We’ve seen bits and pieces of Beyond the Labyrinth, but the scan embedded after break gives us the most varied look at the game so far. We get glimpses of the touch screen and different environments and it’s worth checking out.

5.- 1up has conducted an interview with Kid Icarus Uprising project leader Masahiro Sakurai. The interview contains plenty of details about the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS game, but the most interesting thing is that the game wasn’t originally meant to star Kid Icarus but Nintendo president Satoru Iwata thought Pit would be a great match for the game.

“I developed a concept for a hybrid between an aerial shooter and a ground-based third-person shooter. Exploring that and talking with [Nintendo president Satoru] Iwata, we realized that Pit would be a good match for this. Not only Pit’s abilities and personality as a character, but also the entire world of Kid Icarus would fit well, too. So, from the very first day of development, we had the intent of this being a Kid Icarus game.”

6.- RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D will feature all of the roller coaster creation that made the original a hit, but will also include Coaster Story.

This mode allows you to choose a character and travel the world in order to expand yourroller coaster empire. You’ll also be able to jump right into building roller coasters in the Park Sandbox mode.

7.- We have new screenshots and artwork from Brave Company that give us our first look at the game’s camera hero creation system.

If you’re attending the the Tokyo Game Show, you may want to pick up a copy of the soundtrack for Resident Evil: Revelations. You can find it at Capcom’s booth.
