2.- Keiji Infune has said said he chose the 3DS for King of Pirates because he believes its userbase will definitely expand and because he wanted to make something at the same level as Nintendo’s games targeted at a younger audience. 

He stated that the fun part of the combat will be choosing which of the game’s three-hundred characters to use in battle and that the game is being planned as a trilogy because the story is too long to fit in one game. Even so, each game will have its own proper conclusion.

3.- Level-5 has confirmed that its annual ‘Level-5 Vision’ press conference, a part of Level-5 World, will be live-streamed via Ustream. This event, which is usually reserved for the press and special guests only, will be taking place on the 15th of October in Japan just a few hours before Level-5 World. We’ll post a link to the stream when it’s made available.

An announcement about Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS is coming within the next couple of weeks. The gamewas delayed until the first quarter in 2012 in North America, so some are speculating the announcement could be related to the release date.

4.- Nintendo Japan has provided gamers a further glance at the stunning limited editionLegend of Zelda: Skyward Sword package for Wii. 

The limited edition bundle includes the game, the Zelda Symphony Concert CD, and a special Gold Wii Remote. The game comes out November 18th in Europe and November 20th in North America.

Nintendo UK has issued a press release detailing the background and introductory story ofThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. We already heard details about Faron Woods and the Skyview Temple earlier today. Here’s the new information:

Introduction: The new game’s storyline begins in Skyloft, an island town suspended high in the sky, on the day before young Link™ is to compete in a major bird-flying competition. The winner of the contest will earn the honour of taking part in a special ceremony with Zelda™.

Link and Zelda: Friends since childhood, Link and Zelda have always shared a special bond. Events in the new game will add even more depth to their relationship.
Groose: Link’s nemesis at school, Groose, plays a significant role in the early moments of the new game. This bully of a character not only threatens Link’s chances to win the bird-flying competition, but he also reveals a jealous streak toward Link and Zelda’s special bond.

Fi: Early on in Link’s new adventure, he encounters Fi, the spirit of the powerful Goddess Sword. Fi’s guidance proves to be crucial as Link goes forth on a challenging quest that will ultimately result in the creation of the Master Sword.

Zelda’s father: Gaepora, Zelda’s father, is the headmaster of Link’s school. As such, he has knowledge of the history and legends of Skyloft..

Nintendo of America has issued a press release detailing two of the environments Link will encounter on his epic journey in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The locations areFaron Woods and the Skyview Temple. Here’s a few more details about both and some gameplay elements:

• Faron Woods and Skyview Temple: The forest is the first location Link visits after leaving Skyloft, an island world suspended high in the sky. The people of Skyloft have never been to the surface, so this stage marks a strange new experience for Link. Traversing the forest leads him to Skyview Temple, where Zelda may be held.
• Dashing: By holding down the A Button, players can make Link run faster and grant him acrobatic abilities, such as the ability to briefly run up a sheer wall to grab onto a cliff. Dashing uses up some of Link’s endurance, which replenishes itself over time once Link stops running. Certain powerful attacks, like the spin attack, also use up endurance. When all of Link’s endurance is used up, his movement is slowed dramatically for a few moments.
• Dowsing: Fi, the spirit of the powerful Goddess Sword and Link’s guide, informs Link that he can use the sword to search for things through dowsing. In dowsing mode, when Link holds out his sword, the sword will beep and provide visual feedback when pointed in the direction of the intended target. This technique can be used to search for many objects and characters in the game. In Faron Woods, Link uses it to search for Zelda, guiding him to Skyview Temple, where Zelda’s aura can be detected.
• Kikwi Tribe: The Kikwis are cute, fuzzy creatures that Link encounters while exploring the forest, resembling a kiwi fruit in animal form. Link can search for the Kikwis in the forest using dowsing. In return, they will help him on his search for Zelda.
• Slingshot: This is one of the first items that Link receives in the game. While it’s not very powerful, it can be used to stun enemies and activate objects in the environment. As with many items in the game, players aim the slingshot by moving the Wii Remote™Plus.

5.- Peter Moore, Electronic Arts chief operating officer has told news publication Reuters that the company is extremely impressed with Wii U and has made a commitment to Nintendo to bring all their key franchises to the new platform.

“There are no indications that there’s anything that feels like it’s off target,”
“From our perspective right now, specs are a big deal,” he said, adding that during his trip [to Nintendo], he will looking to find out more about the gadget’s graphic and computer processing units, its price and when it might be shipped.”
“No one thinks its going to replace an iPad 2 but it is playing into what a consumer feels comfortable with.”
“In the past, publishers have backed away from dedicating too much content to Nintendo platforms, since the Japanese company tended to use its consoles to push its own software titles. But make no mistake, EA is on board with the Wii U.”
“Our teams are working on it around the world. Our key franchises will be there. We’ve made that commitment to Nintendo."

A recent job listing over at Visceral Games Montreal suggests that the developers are preparing a new Dead Space game for an unannounced platform. We’ve already had Dead Space: Extraction on Wii so it’s certainly likely that we could see a new addition to the franchise on Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii U.

6.- There are a ton of new screenshots showing off various bosses, attacks and more in Shinobi on the 3DS.

Namco Bandai’s Masaya Kobayashi believes that the millions of Wii Sports fans should experience his latest game Go Vacation which comes out in Europe on November 4th. The game allows you to explore a huge resort and play the numerous activities on offer. 

Nicalis, an independent video game company, who worked with Pixel to bring the game to Nintendo ‘s WiiWare service has announced a publishing agreement with Terry Cavanagh for VVVVVV on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

A user on YouTube has shared plenty of off-screen footage of Spider-man: The Edge of Time on the 3DS.
