1.- Nintendo has unleashed a brand new trailer for Super Mario 3D Land showing off a whole host of new levels and gameplay additions.

Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS comes out November 18th in Europe and November 13th in North America.
We have a gallery full of new screenshots from Super Mario 3D Land that give us a look at a variety of places in the game.
Three C-Gears will be available to download between now and early 2012. All you need to do is enter EUPGL102011 on the promotions section of the Pokemon Global Link website.
Pokemon Rumble Blast will be released in Europe on December 2nd and in North America on October 24th.
Square Enix has announced that Heroes of Ruin will be playable at New York Comic Con. Attendees will also be able to pick up a free Heroes of Ruin poster signed by the artist responsible for the cover art for the game.
2.- Nintendo America has announced that from the 23rd October they will be releasing a new Wii console bundle which includes New Super Mario Bros, a special Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack CD, a black Wii Remote Plus controller and a black Nunchuk.
The new bundle will be offered at a suggested retail price of $149.99.
3.- Heroes of Ruin, nSpace’s role-playing collaboration with Square Enix for the Nintendo 3DS was originally scheduled to come out early 2012, but it’s now had its release date pushed back slightly to Spring 2012. Square Enix also announced that it has plans to bring Heroes of Ruin to this years Comic-Con.
The fan movement known as 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 has announced that they will be setting up a booth at New York Comic Con to show Capcom that there is a large enough fanbase to warrant a release of the game.
They are also holding an open invitation for anyone who would like to help out at their booth. Admittance is completely free but those who wish to help must participate every day of the show.

4.- Controversial Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter doesn’t believe the Wii U is a next generation console even though it’s a new console, with new controls and architecture. Pachter thinks Wii U needs three things to succeed; a competitive price, compelling first party launch titles, and compelling third-party launch titles.

The Wii U is a pretty ambitious undertaking. It’s a new console, with new controls and architecture, but it’s not quite “next” generation. Developers have to contend with differences between the Wii U and current generation consoles, then have to figure out what to do with the controls.
The timing is still up in the air, and as far as I know, there are no significant third party “exclusives”; instead, we’ll see iterations of third party games already on the market, which is unlikely to drive significant hardware sales.
In order for the launch to be “hugely successful” (as your question phrased it), the console will need three things: a competitive price, compelling first party launch titles, and compelling third party launch titles. We don’t know if the Wii U will have any of these, so it’s quite difficult to predict a hugely successful launch.

6.- Nintendo has announced that they will be entering into a distribution agreement with Capcom for Resident Evil: Revelations in Europe, similar to what they did with Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
This means that, throughout Europe and Australia, Nintendo will be handling the sales, marketing and distribution of the game, although Capcom will still technically be the publisher.
7.- Konami has announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 3D will be the first online soccer game on the Nintendo 3DS. Both Fifa 12 and Pro Evolution Soccer 11 neglected to include an online mode so this will come as great news to football fans on the Nintendo 3DS.
