Information Update // Noticias Nuevas - Nintendo 3DS & PSVita

Information Update - Nintendo 3DS

1.- Nintendo has held the launch event for Super Mario 3D Land in Times Square, New York City. It looks like the turnout was quite good and there are plenty of photos from the event.
More After the Break...

2.- EA is apparently trying to convince Nintendo to use the company’s Origin platform as the main online service for Wii U, whilst Valve is trying to get Nintendo to use the immensely popular Steam

EA however is apparently putting a lot of pressure on Nintendo to exclusively use Origin. Which service would you rather see?

3.- This is the Mugen Power battery extender for the 3DS. It attaches to the 3DS and increases the battery life by 4.4 times. Only problem is, it costs $126 and you can only get it in Japan. Plus, as reported by Tiny Cartridge, it is “unavailable at the usual game import sites”, so there’s no hope their either. There are photos after the break of this beautiful hardware you’ll probably never get your hands on.

Update: And so it looks like you can click here to get your hands on one of these batteries. It still costs $98, but maybe it’s worth that to you.

4.- Robin Williams has taken the opportunity to star in another The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword video. This commercial mainly sees him narrating whilst plenty of glorious Skyward Sword footage is displayed on the screen.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword hits retail outlets in Europe on November 18th and North America November 20th.

The latest Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword commercial contains plenty of exciting gameplay footage, which is exactly what the public crave. Hopefully this thirty-second TV spot will be on our screens before release to show everyone just how fantastic this game is set to be. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is released November 18th in Europe and November 20th in North America.

5.- Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono recently sat down with Gematsu to discuss his latest project Street Fighter X Tekken. The game is coming out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita but Capcom has yet to announce a version for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Here’s what Ono had to say:
Q: You’re bringing Street Fighter X Tekken to PS3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, and now PC. Super Street Fighter IV came out on 3DS, so clearly Capcom knows how to create a fighting game on the Nintendo handheld. Is there a reason you’ve not announced a 3DS version? Or a Wii U version, for that matter?
A: There isn’t any reason in particular actually.

6.- Nintendo Europe has uploaded a trailer for the forthcoming Pandora’s Tower for Wii. The game is scheduled to come out sometime in 2012 in Europe and is already available for purchase in Japan.

Still no word of a North American release I’m afraid.
