It’s been announced today that Mario Kart Wii has sold a staggering 28 million copies. That’s basically one game for every three Wii consoles.

Clearly Nintendo are hoping to replicate the success of the game when it launches Mario Kart 7 on the Nintendo 3DS December 2nd in Europe and December 4th in the United States.

Reports filtered through yesterday that Luigi’s Mansion 2 would include a two player cooperative mode but it turns out this isn’t the case. Nintendo has confirmed that this was simply an error and that the game is single-player only. Disappointing news as the game would be even better paired up with a buddy online.

2.- According to Nintendo of Spain the ten free Gameboy Advance ambassador program games that Nintendo promised for early Nintendo 3DS adopters have been delayed until sometime next year.

It would make sense as Nintendo has been suspiciously quiet on the subject as they were supposed to be here this year.

Aksys is working on Shifting World, a new title for the 3DS. The name is all we know about the game, but there should be more details coming soon. The announcement is in the latest issue of Nintendo Power.

Shifting World was revealed a couple of hours ago and the first screenshots from Nintendo Power can be found after the break. The game is based on Shift, which you can click here to play within your web browser. This is the best way to “get” the concept and, in itself, is a lot of fun. There are sixty levels in which you must reach the end goal by turning the entire game world upside down which changes the entire structure of the environment. There are also teleporters, low gravity, exploding barriers and other elements we’ll hear about.

3.- Nintendo UK has announced that Resident Evil: Revelations will be available to players across Europe as a stand alone game and as a special limited edition bundle which also includes the new Circle Pad Pro accessory.

Resident Evil: Revelations and the CirclePad Pro launch exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS across Europe on 27th January 2012 and in the United States February 7th.

You can check out the new screenshots from Resident Evil: Revelations.

4.- Gaijin Games, the developer behind the acclaimed Bit Trip franchise has revealed viaTwitter that it has a Wii U development kit.
“I wonder what this mysterious device on my desk is… Let’s see… It has a giant touchscreen, a camera, microphone… It’s white… Hm…”
The company denied that its cryptic clue refers to an iPad or tablet so the next logical thing would be a Wii U development kit. What would you like to see from the developer on Wii U?

Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime has told Reuters that the company doesn’t want a repeat of the Nintendo 3DS launch fiasco when it launches the Wii U sometime after April 2012.
“The initial price on the 3DS was also too high, something that Nintendo will be careful about this time around.”
“We had to go back and reduce the price of 3DS and we certainly don’t want to go through that when we launch Wii U.”

The latest edition of US gaming publication Nintendo Power reveals that the long-awaitedRhythm Heaven Fever is coming to North America sometime during February next year. The game is currently available in Japan and will be available in Europe early next year.

5.- Capcom has announced there will two demos for Monster Hunter Tri G available in Japan, the first of which kicks off on Thursday. This demo will be available at various retailers and will last for about fifteen minutes.

There will also be a downloadable demo though that will be available soon via the eShop. This will take 169 megabytes of space on your SD card. There is also a new trailer available right now. There are new screenshots from Monster Hunter Tri G that show off menus and customization options for the touch screen.

Sony plans to offer multiple price-points for Vita software to combat the growing threat of cheap smartphone games to its handheld business, PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan has revealed.

While the company has yet to confirm details ahead of the console's European launch next February, Ryan told Eurogamer sister site GamesIndustry.biz: "I think it would be safe to assume we will take a more tailored approach than perhaps we've done in the past."
