2.- Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has managed to score an interview with Tetsuya Nomura regarding Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS. Nomura told the publication that the game has an ending that will be completely unconventional for the series.
Nomura also told Famitsu that the original ending that had been planned for the game was not officially approved. Kingdom Hearts 3D will also feature a secret ending that will feature shocking developments that connect to the next game in the long-running series. Kingdom Hearts 3D is due for release in Japan in March.
Nintendo of America has also announced via a press release that they will be releasing a demo on the Nintendo 3DS eShop tomorrow. The first demo which will be made available is tomorrow is Resident Evil: Revelations with Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games coming next Thursday. Additional demos coming soon include Rayman Origins from Ubisoft and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D from Konami Digital Entertainment.
Nintendo UK has confirmed that the limited edition Last Story bundle will be available exclusively on Wii across Europe from the 24th of February.

The limited edition The Last Story bundle will be available for pre-order while stocks last and features a copy of the game, an exclusive SteelBook cover decorated with beautiful artwork, and a The Elements Of The Last Story package which includes The Premium Soundtrack CD and The Illustrations art booklet. The CD features a 7-track selection of music from the game composed by Nobuo Uematsu who has also collaborated with Hironobu Sakaguchi on many of his previous iconic RPGs.

The Last Story adds a modern twist to the traditional RPG formula, offering a strategic, real-time combat system and allowing you to customise your character and weaponry. By mastering a mysterious ability called The Gathering you will be able to help the main protagonist Zael and his band of mercenaries complete the many missions and battle vast bosses by discovering their weak spots and using teamwork to bring them down.
Unlike many other RPGs, The Last Story not only features a story-driven single player campaign, but also two online multiplayer modes, Deathmatch and Co-op, allowing you to battle against or alongside up to five other people from across Europe. Online battles can yield rare weapons and items that can be carried over into the single player campaign.

3.- THQ’s Senior Producer Evan Icenbice has revealed via his LinkedIn profile that he is currently managing three unannounced games for 2012. One of these games is exclusive to Wii U while the other title will be appearing on Wii U and other formats. We already know that THQ is developing Darksiders 2 and Metro: Last Light for Wii U.

Nintendo UK has announced via a press release that Nintendo 3DS demos will finally be coming to the eShop tomorrow. Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to download a demo for Resident Evil: Revelations as well as a demo for Cooking Mama 4. Make sure you keep checking the Nintendo eShop, as it will be periodically updated with new game demos in the future, including a Nintendo 3DS demo for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure.

Nano Assault, one of the prettiest games to arrive on the 3DS, has received a price drop. It now costs only $19.99 and may be worth picking up. It’s sitting at a respectable 73/100 on Metacritic and, while that may not be a super high rating, for the price it appears to be a good deal.
Here’s how the game is described in the press release:
Nano Assault enables players to shoot their way through 32 twisted cell stages and dark worlds filled with rugged landscapes that adjust in difficulty based upon the player’s skill level. Take on and defeat extreme nemeses including the Black Nucleus, Hyper Blobs and Spore Plants using powerful beams, energetic bombs and other unlockable assault weapons.

You can click here to find the game on Amazon.

Beyond the Labyrinth is set to launch today in Japan and Konami is celebrating by releasing new screenshots from the game.

SEGA has released a new trailer for Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure. There are also lots of new screenshots, and you can find all of this after the break.
Mohammad Fikree, one of the peeps that helps out with this blog also happens to be a filmmaker. Being the fan of Resident Evil that he is, he’s put together a trailer for Resident Evil: Revelations that you can check out after the break. He’ll also be releasing a second trailer once he has his hands on the game.

In other (but related) news, the game has also received a score of 39/40 in Famitsu magazine, which is fantastic, given that it’s so close to being a near-perfect score.

5.- The latest edition of Japanese gaming publication Famitsu reveals that Square Enix’s First Production Department is handling the development of Final Fantasy X HD. The game is only in the initial stages of development which is why Square Enix hasn’t released much information about the eagerly anticipated game.
