1.- A desperate Capcom fan has apparently done the unspeakable and has pretended to be one of the personnel from the Make A Wish Foundation to find out the progress on the Ace Attorney Investigations 2 localization status. The Capcom fan managed to find Capcom’s Senior Vice President of strategic planning and business Christian Svennson phone number and contacted him directly to find out the status of the game. Svennson was apparently rude to the person in question, and obviously refused to give him an answer, saying only that there’s no new information regarding a Western release.
More After the Break...
Nintendo has released the very first trailer for the forthcoming Pokemon Black & White 2. The trailer shows off a number of things including a partially frozen over Unova as well as better animation sprites for the trainers. Pokemon Black & White 2 is released in Japan on June 23rd and is scheduled to come to North America and Europe in the Fall.
It has come to my attention that the image circulating the internet that supposedly was featured on Nintendo’s schedule via the official website is actually a fake. The screen grab showed that the Wii U had been renamed to the Wii Entertainment System when in fact the text had actually been doctored via Photoshop. The original image text translated through Google shows that the text originally read Mario Party 9. I’m sure we will see plenty more of these as E3 edges ever closer.
- Mario Party 9: 230,000+
- Kid Icarus: Uprising: 135,000+
- Mario Kart 7: 118,000+
- Super Mario 3D Land: 100,000
- Nintendo 3DS consoles: 225,000 +
- Wii consoles: 175,000
We’re expecting the Wii U to be released in November, but if we’re lucky it may come out in October. Based on an interview with the folks at Gaijin Games about the next BIT.TRIP game though, it sure sounds like it will be one of these months because, when asked:
With a pushed release date to October or November and the Wii U releasing around then too, does that mean that you’ll try to finagle your way on there?
Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games responded:
(Smiles) I wonder. I wonder if that means that. Let me put it this way: we have a Wii U dev kit, and our game is coming out around the time that system launches, so that would be pretty cool.
It’s coy. That’s for sure. But at the same time, I’d be surprised if the Wii U was released before October anyway, so narrowing the release date down to a couple of months is really not a huge deal.
2.- Jens Andersson, the creator of Colors! 3D on the 3DS has said they would “very much like to see Colors! on Wii U”. For the time being, “nothing has been decided”, but the seed of thought is there, and considering that’s where every project begins, I’ll remain hopeful that it’ll be worked on at some point.
