Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Nicalis, the publisher behind indie classic Cave Story, has announced that it plans to bring1001 Spikes to the Wii U eShop and the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The game will be released on later this year and will feature a multiplayer mode, new art, visuals and sound. 1001 Spikes will launch on Nintendo 3DS first with the Wii U version following hot on its heels.

Analysts at Macquarie Equities have stated that sales of the incredibly popular Call of Dutyseries are beginning to slow down while analysts over at Macquarie Equities say that Modern Warfare 3 volume sales are behind by around 4.2 percent. It seems casual gamers are instead finding entertainment elsewhere. Analysts at PiperJaffray believe that the Call of Duty fan base are “buying fewer games at retail, and are instead using their consoles primarily for video streaming and other forms of media consumption.”

Nintendo has confirmed that Pokemon Black & White 2 starter Pokemon will be Tepig, Snivy and Oshawott. Yes, they’re the same starter Pokemon as those found in the original Pokemon Black & White. Which one will you be choosing when you get hold of the game?
Earlier this week Nintendo UK and Nintendo Europe announced that gamers who purchase Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower will be eligible to receive the Club Nintendo RPG Commemorative Coin Collection. We didn’t get a very good look at the actual coins, so thankfully Nintendo Europe has provided us with a closer look at these special edition collectables.

Nintendo gave hundreds of 3DS units to the Louvre in Paris to be used as audio guides when exploring the museum. If you’re not planning on heading to Paris in the near future though, then feel free to live vicariously through Shigeru Miyamoto.
