Sadly THQ has confirmed that Metro: Last Light isn’t in development for Wii U. The game was originally shown off during last years E3 showreel focussing on third-party Wii U titles. THQ global brand manager Mark Madsen says that the development team really wanted to concentrate their efforts on the forthcoming Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the game.

“It’s not in development.”

“If it does happen, it won’t sim-ship with the other SKUs, but if the opportunity arises we’ll take a look at it.”

“I don’t think it was a bit too early [to show the game at E3]. As we got along in the development process, we just really wanted to focus on what we knew, focus on PS3, 360 and PC.”

“The verdict is out on what we can do to maximise the code for the Wii U, and we’ll see [what happens].”

Despite GTTV host Geoff Keighley Tweeting that Wii U won’t run Epic’s next generation Unreal Engine 4, the company has announced that they’ve yet to reveal their Wii U plans. Epic told CVG that while they’ve announced that Unreal Engine 3 will run Wii U games, the company “has not confirmed platforms for Unreal Engine 4 beyond PC”. Guess we will just have to wait until E3 next week to find out whether Wii U can run Unreal Engine 4

Famed Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter isn’t a fan of controversial on-disc downloadable content, claiming it’s nothing but profit greed. Pachter even when as far to say that gamers are entitled to hack the disc to retrieve the downloadable content that should have shipped with the retail copy.

2.- Natsume has now confirmed via its Facebook page that Harvest Moon: A New Beginningfor the Nintendo 3DS will be coming to North America. Harvest Moon: A New Beginning originally came out in Japan in February, so it’s good to hear it’s getting a North American release.

“We’re very excited to be announcing Harvest Moon: A New Beginning for the Nintendo 3DS! HM: ANB will be making its debut during E3, June 5th to 7th, where first screens and game play details will be revealed.”

It’s been confirmed by GTTV host Geoff Keighley that Wii U won’t support the next generation Unreal Engine 4. Keighley referred to a GDC comment from Epic CEO Mike Capps which apparently stated that Unreal Engine 4 won’t be running on Wii U. Spike TV has already announced that it was be running an Unreal Engine 4 special during E3.

WeMade Entertainment, an online games developer, is convinced that it will become the front-runner in the video game industry. The company is based in Korea and is best known for The Legend of Mir franchise. The company’s CEO believes that E3 will mark the starting-point of their dominance in the video game industry when they showcase several new games for mobile platforms.

Dave Gargan, Havok VP of Engineering expects people to be genuinely excited by the games that are launching on Wii U. Gargan wouldn’t go into specifics, but he did say that the console has its own unique features, and it also has its own challenges as well.
