1.- It is Kirby’s 20th anniversary and to celebrate, Nintendo added a total of six Kirby games to one disc and named it Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition. You can learn about Kirby’s history within the upcoming game. The collection will be released in North America on September 16th for Wii.

Fire Emblem: Awakening was released this year in Japan. When the game arrives to other regions, it will support downloadable content from the Nintendo eShop. The game will be released in North America and Europe during 2013 for Nintendo 3DS.


Nintendo of America has confirmed that Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle will be released in North America. Every day for a year after the game’s initial release, a new puzzle will be available to download at no extra cost. The game will be released in November for Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo is teaming up with Namco Bandai for the next installments of the Super Smash Bros. franchise. Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai will be in charge of the games, but will be joined by Namco Bandai employees. The director of the upcoming games will be Namco Bandai’s Yoshito Higuchi and Namco Bandai’s Kenya Kobayashi will be the games’ producer. Kobayashi promises that the forthcoming Super Smash Bros. titles – for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U – will be the most powerful games in the series.

During the latest European Nintendo Direct, more Animal Crossing 3DS details were shared. The above trailer was presented during the Japanese Nintendo Direct. There will be plenty of new items and characters within the game. The StreetPass feature can be used to gain new characters for your town. The Nintendo 3DS’ Animal Crossing will be released in Europe during the first half of 2013.

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed the Nintendo 3DS XL. The new model will have a 90% larger screen than the original 3DS and will retail for $199.99. Nintendo 3DS XL will be released in Europe on July 28th and in North America on August 19th, which is also the day that New Super Mario Bros. 2 releases

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has praised Nintendo’s forthcoming console, and says that it’s a “tremendously powerful” system. Nintendo themselves have yet to reveal the complete Wii U specifications, but Crytek recently said that the machine is “minimum as powerful as Xbox 360″. Here’s what Reggie had to say about Wii U.
