Information Update - Nintendo 3DS

1.- Microsoft recently claimed that the Wii U platform is “effectively a 360.” Microsoft believes that the Wii U Pro Controller’s design is based on the design of an Xbox 360 controller but, according to Reggie Fils-Aime, the Wii U Pro Controller isdesigned for comfort. Nintendo responded to Microsoft’s recent comments by saying that they “do not compare themselves to the other consoles.” According to Nintendo, “The Wii U Pro Controller is an enhanced version of the Classic Controller Pro.”

Although Capcom claimed that a Western release for Monster Hunter Tri G is unlikely, it hasn’t been ruled that Monster Hunter 4 will not be released in regions outside Japan. According to Capcom’s Christian Svensson, “Western Monster Hunter fans should have some sort of information before the end of this calendar year.” Since there is an upcoming Monster Hunter game for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan, perhaps this information will be about that title.

Two Tribes, the developer behind WiiWare game Toki Tori, has revealed that Toki Tori 2 will feature a “full game world.” Unlike the original Toki Tori, the sequel will not contain separate levels. Two Tribes claims that Toki Tori 2 will contain “more dense puzzles and less walking” than Limbo. Toki Tori 2 will be released on the Wii U eShop.

LucasArts has posted a job listing that suggests that the company is looking for developers to work on a first person shooter for current-gen and next-gen consoles. There are no other hints related to the game, but it’s widely expected that it will be another entry in the Star Wars franchise and will join the impressive Star Wars 1313.

Katsuhiro Harada, the boss behind the Tekken series, is not a fan of paid DLC (downloadable content). The upcoming Tekken Tag Tournament 2 features DLC characters but, according to Harada, all of them will be available for free. Harada expressed his stance on paid DLC, during an interview with Eurogamer, by saying, ”If I was given the choice to include paid DLC or quit Namco, I would maybe quit.” Video games can be quite expensive, so free DLC is more than welcome.
