Information Update - Nintendo 3DS

1.- Wii U hardware producer Katsuya Eguchi claims that the Wii has a small number of multi-platform games because Wii Remotes lack features of a traditional video game controller – for example, a Wii Remote does not have analog sticks. According to Eguchi, Nintendo is offering the Wii U Pro Controller to hardcore gamers so that they will not feel left out. Eguchi believes that adding the Wii U Pro Controller may make it easier for multi-platform games to come out on Wii U.

More After the Break...
Nintendo has announced that Pokémon Black and White 2 will be released in Australia and New Zealand on October 11th. Pokémon Dream Radar, which will be a downloadable title from the Nintendo eShop, will also be available for purchase on October 11th. Pokémon Black and White 2 are Nintendo DS games, which are playable on any Nintendo 3DS console – including the Nintendo 3DS XL. Pokémon Black and White 2 will be released in North America on October 7th and Europe on October 12th.

You can’t pre-order a Wii U console from GameStop yet – but you can, however, reserve Wii U games from the video game store. According to a GameStop manager, consumers will be able to pre-order Nintendo’s upcoming console from GameStop stores by the first week of September. Perhaps this suggests that Nintendo will reveal the Wii U price and release date sometime during August.

Michael Pachter has admitted that he is becoming more and more frustrated by Nintendo for a number of reasons. The Wedbush Morgan analyst readily admits that he comes under fire from Nintendo fans for his controversial views, but he says that it’s ultimately Nintendo themselves that should be blamed.

Monster Hunter 4 has overtaken Resident Evil 6 to claim the most wanted spot in this weeks edition of Japanese publication Famitsu. Four of the top five games were for Nintendo related formats. These games include Dragon Quest X, New Super Mario Bros 2 and Animal Crossing: Jump Out! Not a bad week for Nintendo.
