Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Nintendo Video has arrived in Japan and Europe. The initial content for the app will include a fashion, a comedic skits show, and a 3D tour of Tokyo, at least in the Japanese version, in the European version we still don't really know what we will get.

2.- Dengeki Playstation in Japan has revealed some new details about Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. The game will have three modes:

• Music Game
• SpotPass
• Museum

Music Game has three sub-modes known as Series, Challenge, and another which is unnamed.

There are three icons used during the game. 

• The red icon requires you to touch the screen briefly. 
• The yellow icon has you slide in the direction of the arrow within it. 
• The green icon will have you touch and press down on the screen. 

The songs during the Field Stage of the game will consist of field, town, and dungeon music.

They will be more relaxed and there will only be one rhythm line. 

The Battle Stage will have more difficult music with four rhythm lines.

3.- Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has confessed that the company are having more difficultly than they ever imagined porting 3D Classics to the Nintendo 3DS. 

The 3D Classics are basically older titles revamped in 3D and are destined to arrive on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The last 3DS classic game we received was Excitebike which was free with the eShop system update. 

For example, Xevious, the new eShop game, of which it is said that there are only going to be 6 in total, took 20 times the development time planned...

4.- This week’s Famitsu magazine tells us lots about the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance for the Nintendo 3DS. Anyway here’s some snippets of information regarding Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance along with some thoughts and musings about the future of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Now at least we know it is still in development, as there has been little word around the game, and that it's 40-50% complete.

Kingdom Hearts 3D

In case you’ve forgotten in the six months of silence, the three Ds in the 3DS Kingdom Hearts name stand for Dream Drop Distance. Development is currently 40 to 50% complete, Nomura told Famitsu this week. He also confirmed the inclusion of a secret movie.

Nomura dropped a bunch of vague hints about the game. Here’s the vaguest: “XXX and XXX in Traverse Town!” This is apparently supposed to be surprising, so see if you can fill in the XXXs with surprising elements.

The game’s story is enigmatic and quite puzzling, said Nomura The story will touch upon the hidden data in Sora.

Just one little gameplay bit: you’ll apparently be able to work your way up to the rooftops.

Future of Kingdom Hearts

Regarding the future of the Kingdom Hearts series, Nomura said that those who are anticipating Kingdom Hearts III will find some answers in KH3D.

The Xehanort part of the Kingdom Hearts saga will end with KHIII, he said. He currently has a framework of some form in place for the continuation of the series after that, and Sora will remain as main character.

Regarding possible HD remakes of past titles, Nomura would only say that, separate from whether or not they will release remakes, they’re looking into HD techology tests for past titles. (I’m not sure if this question and response is about Kingdom Hearts or just in general.)

5.- Namco Bandai has revealed Brave Company for the 3DS. It’s a simulation game and, as andriasang reports:

…you play as the CEO of a hero dispatch agency. You’ll have to interview potential heroes, hire them, and send them out to the city to protect the peace. As you advance in the game, both your company and the city will grow.

The four types of heroes include:

• Knights
• Archers
• Priests
• Wizards

Brave Company is being released on the 27th of October and will also be available for the iPhone.

6.- Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet is arriving on the Nintendo 3DS in October and here are the first screens:

1.- Nintendo Video ha llegado oficialmente a Japón y a Europa. El contenido inicial contendrá un programa de moda, pequeños cortos de comedia, y un tour 3D de Tokyo, o eso al menos en la versión Japonesa, en Europa todavía no lo sabemos muy bien.

2.- Dengeki Playstation en Japón han revelado nuevos detalles sobre Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. El juego tendrá tres modos:

• Music Game
• SpotPass
• Museum

Music Game tiene tres sub-modos conocidos como Series, Challenge, y otro todavía sin nombre.

Los tres iconos utilizados durante el juego serán. 

• El icono rojo: dar un golpecito en la pantalla rápidamente. 
• El icono amarillo: deslizar el lápiz en la dirección en la que está. 
• El icono verde te hace tocarlo y apretar en la pantalla un ratito. 

Las canciones durante la Field Stage del juego consisten en temas del mapa, pueblos y mazmorras.

Serán más relajadas y sólo tendrán una línea de ritmo. 

La Battle Stage tendrá música más difícil con hasta cuatro líneas de ritmo.

3.- El presidente de Nintendo Satoru Iwata, ya os sonará el nombre, ha confirmado que a Nintendo le está costando mucho transformar los juegos clásicos, en 3D. 

Los clásicos 3D son simplemente juegos clásicos, valga la redundancia, a los que se añade 3D. Bien, pues ésto no es tan fácil como aparenta. 

Por ejemplo, Xevious, el nuevo Clásico 3D que se sacará en la eShop de la 3DS, y que saldrá pronto, llevó 20 veces el tiempo planeado a Nintendo...

4.- La entrega de Famitsu Magazine de esta semana incluye información sobre Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance para la Nintendo 3DS. Aquí hay algunas citas del artículo, que incluye información sobre Kingdom Hearts 3D, y su futuro. Al menos sabemos ahora que el juego sigue en marcha, yo me había preocupado tras no haber casi noticias, y que está a la mitad, que ya es más del mío (claro que yo estoy solo).

Kingdom Hearts 3D

Por si os habéis olvidado en estos seis meses de silencio, las 3 Ds en el 3DS Kingdom Hearts, significan Dream Drop Distance. El desarrollo ya está 40%-50% completo, dijo Nomura a Famitsu esta semana. También confirmó la existencia de una película secreta en el juego.

Nomura dio algunas pistas vagas sobre el juego, sin aportar información directa. Aquí está la más ambigua de todas: “¡XXX y XXX en Traverse Town!” Supuestamente será sorprendente, así que ved si podéis rellenar las XXX con elementos sorprendentes.

La historia del juego es enigmática y bastante liosa, dijo Nomura. El juego tocará la información oscura en Sora.

Sólo diré un poco del gameplay: aparentemente podréis subiros a los techos.

El Futuro de Kingdom Hearts

Sobre el futuro de Kingdom Hearts, Nomura dijo que podréis encontrar algunas pistas de Kingdom Hearts III en KH3D.

La parte de Xehanort de la saga de Kingdom Hearts terminará con KHIII, dijo. Tiene algo hecho con la continuación de la saga hasta cierto punto, pero Sora continuará siendo el personaje principal.

5.- Namco Bandai ha revelado Brave Company para la 3DS. Es un juego de simulación, y como dice andriasang:

…juegas como el CEO de una compañía de Superhéroes. Tienes que entrevistar nuevos héroes, contratarlos, y mandarlos a misiones para conservar la paz. Mientras avanzas en el juego, tu ciudad y empresa serán ampliados.

Los cuatro tipos de héroes serán:

• Guerreros
• Arqueros
• Curas/Sacerdotes
• Magos

Brave Company sale el 27/10 y será disponible para iPhone.
