1.- Today we have a very busy update. First of all, Netflix has been made available for the Nintendo 3DS in the United States and Canada. As reported by GoNintendo though, a user of the app is having a system issue:

I activated Netflix on my 3DS, and while using the service my system home button and power button aren’t working, while Netflix is running. I can’t back out of it and can’t shut my system off.

Other people have reported similar problems, but supposedly the solution is to continue holding down the power button. Eventually it’ll force the system off despite its other functions not working. When you turn it back on there’s supposedly no longer a problem.

Many people have thought from the following press release that Netflix would be capable of streaming 3D content, as it's technically possible, in the short term:

"The new Netflix application for Nintendo 3DS displays movies and TV episodes in 2D on the system’s upper screen. Users will soon have access to an additional library of select movies that can be viewed in 3D without the need for special glasses."

The "additional library" mentioned in the press release is referring to Nintendo Video, as America hasn't got that service yet, and not to supposed 3D content.

2.- People have started receiving their ‘Red Flare’ Nintendo 3DS and some pretty decent pictures of the device have surfaced. 

It looks really nice even though it’s a different shade from what we originally saw back at E3 2010. Still no word on if it’s being released outside of Japan, but I still prefer my Blue one better (:P).


3.- Nintendo of America has issued a press release stating that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time 3D has managed to shift an incredible 283,000 units after 11 days on sale in the United States. 

The numbers were revealed by the NPD group , which tracks video game sales in the United States. This is absolutely amazing news, as Nitnendo seems to be picking up!


4.- Sonic Generations on the Nitnendo 3DS features an exclusive stage that is designed to accentuate the 3D efffects. First screens are already out:

Videos of the Japanese Version of Star Fox 64, it is a great game, but since I don't really want to spoil for everyone, I didn't make it get much more protagonism:

5.- Kid Icarus: Uprising is a very beautiful game for which there are lots, and lots of screenshots, and e3 video footage. 6.- There hasn’t been a shortage of Rune Factory 4 screenshots. Here are some great ones, nine of them. Amazing game, for sure!

7.-  Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy is dead. 

Darby McDevitt of Ubisoft has revealed that the story and mechanics that were going to be used in the 3DS game are now being used for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is officialy cancelled...

Noticias Nuevas - Nintendo 3DS

1.- Hoy hay una actualización de muchas cosas. Lo primero de todo, es que Netflix ha sido sacado ya en los Estados Unidos y en Canadá, por lo que si tenéis la gente viviendo ahí, una subscripción a sus servicios de $7,99 al mes, podréis ver contenido como programas de televisión y películas en 2D...

Según GoNintendo la aplicación parece haber causado algún problema, menor de todas formas, en la consola:

Activé Netflix en la 3DS, y mientras utilizao el servicio el botón HOME y el de Encendido/Apagado no funcionan. No puedo salir y no puedo apagar el sistema.

Más gente ha reportado el mismo problema, pero al parecer se resuelve apretando más rato el botón de encendido/apagado, y luego ya no vuelve a pasar. Como la varicela, lo pasa una vez.

Mucha gente ha creído posible el stream de vídeos en 3D por parte de Netflix a corto plazo, pero eso es sólo debido a la malinterpretación de un comunicado de prensa de Nintendo:

"La nueva aplicación de Netflix permite el streaming de vídeos y programas de televisión en 2D en la pantalla superior de la Nintendo 3DS. Los usuarios [de la consola] verán también como pronto podrán ver episodios de dibujos animados y pequeños sketches cómicos en 3D sin gafas en su sistema."

Esos "Usuarios" se refieren a los de la consola, y no a los usuarios de Netflix, por lo tanto a lo que se están refiriendo es a Nintendo Video, algo que América todavía no ha recibido...

2.- La gente ha empezado a recibir su color rojo de la Nintendo 3DS y aquí están las primeras imágenes. 

Está muy bien y es muy bonita, aunque haya cambiado el color ligeramente desde su presentación en e3 2,010. No sé, a mí me sigue gustando más la Azul (:P).

3.- Nintendo of America han sacado un comunicado de prensa diciendo que The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time 3D ha conseguido vender la impresionante cantidad de 283,000 unidades en tan sólo 11 días de haber salido en Estados Unidos. 

Los números fueron revelados por el grupo NPD, encargado de tratar con los números de ventas en Estados Unidos de los videojuegos. Asombrosos datos para Nitnendo, que estarán contentos, sin duda.

4.- Sonic Generations para la Nintendo 3DS tendrá un nivel especial que supuestamente tendrá efectos 3D para mostrar las capabilidades de la consola. He aquí las primeras imágenes:

5.- Kid Icarus: Uprising es un juego precioso, algo que se puede apreciar en el vídeo de e3 y las imágenes Es una verdadera pena que fuera retrasado hasta 2,012...

6.- Ha habido un constante stream de imágenes sobre Rune Factory 4. Aquí hay algunas imágenes más del juego. Es un pedazo de juego, eso seguro.

7.-  Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy está muerto.
