Information Update - Nintendo 3DS & PSVita

1.- Nintendo UK has announced via press release that it’s providing a 3D performance by the world-famous Berliner Philharmoniker through Nintendo 3DS SpotPass.
More After the Break...

The video which is available via Nintendo Video shows an orchestral rehearsal of the “Russian Dance” from Igor Stravinsky’s Petrushka filmed in full 3D. The video is available for a limited time only.

The scores for a bunch of games have been shared from NGamer, and the 3DS side of things hasn’t fared too well. Here are the ratings:
2.- Consumers in Japan queued up on Saturday to be one of the first to pre-order the PlayStation Vita, but did the majority opt for the Wi-Fi only or 3G model?

Well, it turns outthat 65 per cent of all reservations taken on the first day of pre-orders last week were for the 3G PlayStation Vita unit. It should also be noted that 82 per cent of those that pre-ordered purchased a memory card.

Irrational Game’s creative director Ken Levine has revealed that the forthcoming Bioshock title for PlayStation Vita will be an all-new experience that feels native to the console and not just a ported, scaled-down version of something that Irrational Game’s have already done.

Levine also explained that Irrational has spoken with some “extraordinary people” regarding the potential to outsource the Vita project, but the company is not ready to commit to any one studio in particular just yet.

“I’d rather do something that’s an experiment and that’s a little different. And is unique for the franchise.”

- Ken Levine

3.- Surprisingly Ubisoft’s limb-less mascot Rayman has taken the number one position in the UK Nintendo 3DS charts.

The only explanation I can think of is that the game has been heavily discounted by online retailers, as it has beaten both Fifa 12 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

4.- Sega says that the game is still scheduled for a November release on the Nintendo 3DS.
Sonic Generations for the Nintendo 3DS system will be released later in November 2011.

5.- Nintendo has revealed that the special edition Legend of Zelda eShop cards will be heading to Europe to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Legend Of Zelda series.

Europeans will be able to purchase all three cards, whilst gamers in North America will only be able to purchase two of the three cards.

We’ve heard a lot about Time Travelers from Level-5 and now you can find some of the first off-screen footage

Nintendo America has announced that downloadable puzzles for Professor Layton and the Last Spectre will be free to download over Wi-Fi starting from Sunday October 23rd. Professor Layton and the Last Spectre was released in North America today and will be coming to Europe on November 25th.

  1. Japanese are one of the first buyers of Nintendo. During holiday, 1.72 millions Nintendo 3ds were sold out. So as per its sales, we will get ideas of Nintendo's demand.
