Information Update - Nintendo 3DS & PSVita

1.- Nintendo has announced that it’s planning another press conference which will take place on Friday 21 October at 8pm.
More After the Break...

Whilst most of the details have been kept under-wraps we know that details about the planned November update for the Nintendo 3DS will be shared and there will also be more news regarding Mario Kart 7.

As an example of what to expect from the event, Nintendo mentioned details on the 3DS system’s November firmware update and Mario Kart 7‘s wireless play support.
A new website has been set up for Pokemon Gray by Melbourne IT Digital Brand Services who’re the same people who set up Pokemon Black & White for Nintendo. Maybe Nintendo will reveal the game at the Nintendo 3DS press conference which takes place in Japan on Friday?

Natsume has announced that Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns for the Nintendo 3DS will be released November 1st. Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns is also appearing on the Nintendo DS and will be out September 20th.

Nintendo has announced today that the next big Nintendo 3DS firmware update will be arriving on November 4th in Europe. The firmware update will see 3D video recording, a new StreetPass game and improvements to the StreetPass Mii Plaza and the Nintendo eShop.

2.- Sony has officially announced that the PlayStation Vita will be released in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australasia and North America on Wednesday, February 22nd. The PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi model will be priced at €249 in Europe and the PlayStation Vita 3G model will retail for €299.

The PlayStation Vita will cost $249 in the US for the Wi-Fi model, while an extra $50 will get you the AT&T 3G-enabled model.

Sony announced the official pricing of the PlayStation Vita for Europe and America yesterday. What Sony didn’t disclose is the pricing for the United Kingdom, and for good reason. The PlayStation Vita will retail for £229 for the Wi-Fi model and £279.99 for the 3G model, which if transferred into dollars equates to $360 for the Wi-Fi version and $440 for the 3G version.

3.- During the latest edition of Iwata Asks Nintendo president Satoru Iwata described Wii MotionPlus as an unruly horse that just couldn’t be tamed. Thankfully they have tamed it and apparently it works surprisingly well with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

“Wii MotionPlus is an incredibly sharp device, but a little distinctive. It’s like an unruly horse.”
To which Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma replied: “Yes, exactly. No matter what we did, we couldn’t tame it. Then Wii Sports Resort came out as the first game for Wii MotionPlus.”

4.- Level 5 has released a trailer for their forthcoming RPG Time Travelers which is due to come out on the Nintendo 3DS sometime next year.

Along with Level 5′s other RPGFantasy Life these are two upcoming Nintendo 3DS titles to get excited about.

The Adventures of Tintin is coming to all major platforms to tie in with the movie and you can check out abunch of gameplay footage of the 3DS version:

5.- One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP will be localised for the PAL region, but the game will not be released in Australia according to a Namco-Bandai representative at the EB Games Expo. You can still import the game from anywhere else within the PAL region, but it does add that bit of extra hassle.
