2.- With the holiday season fast approaching now is a more crucial time than ever for Nintendo to shift plenty of Nintendo 3DS units, thankfully Japanese analysts are confidentthat Nintendo will do just that. With big hitters such as Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Landand Monster Hunter Tri G things are looking especially good for Nintendo in the run up to Christmas.
3.- Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has confirmed that first party Nintendo 3DS content will be getting downloadable content for titles that the company is publishing next year.
Hopefully this means we will see additional content for games such as Animal Crossing and Kid Icarus Uprising.
Nintendo has revealed it’s holding a press conference at the LA Auto show in Los Angeles. Unfortunately Nintendo wouldn’t provide any hints or tips regarding what they’re planning, but it certainly will be interesting. We shall find out exactly what it’s all about on Thursday, November 17th.
“Hardware sales are usually five to eight times what they usually are for the rest of the year, reflecting that, I think around 2 to 2.5 million systems sold [in November and December] is a given, and it being the first Christmas for the 3DS, I think it’s possible to expect more than that.”
- SMBC Nikko Securities analyst Eiji Maeda
I think it’s plain that they’ll sell at least a million in November and December alone, pushing it past three million systems sold for the year. Already in October we’re seeing a lot of people purchase the system by itself in anticipation of supplies running tight toward the end of the year.”
“With Mario 3D Land leading the way and Mario Kart 7 and MH3G following, the 3DS has nothing but big-name titles up ahead.”
- Tamio Yanaka, game manager at Japanese electronics chain Bic Camera
“MH3G, Inazuma Eleven, Mario Kart 7, and Super Mario 3D Land will be the key to everything here. If the 3DS can reach 2.5 million systems before the end of the year, I imagine all of those titles will break half a million in sales.”
- Akinori Nakamura, professor of media studies at Kyoto-based Ritsumeikan University.

4.- Nintendo America has uploaded the first commercial for The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword. The video plays on the nostalgia factor of the series and gives a tantalising glimpse at what players can expect with Skyward Sword.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is released November 18th in Europe and November 20th in North America.
5.- Famitsu magazine had this to say about Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 in their review:
6.- We have some new screenshots from Monster Hunter Tri G that show off various monsters in the game.
John Koller of Sony Computer Entertainment of America has announced that the company has noticed a substantial amount of demand for the PlayStation Vita based on research that the company has conducted. The study shows that 60 percent of PlayStation Portable owners and 63 percent of PlayStation 3 owners intend to pick up the PlayStation Vita within the next year and a half.
5.- Famitsu magazine had this to say about Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 in their review:
The interface is easy to get to grips with and guides the player seamlessly through the game, making it a pretty stressless experience. The action gameplay itself is pretty simple, but the items and monsters you can collect help to expand the world and make it worth it to hardcore players. The ship battles add some spice to things, but it takes a really long time for them to finish up.They also scored it 37/10, which is only one point less than Super Mario 3D Land. Problem is, I’m pretty sure we don’t know if this game is going to be localised.

7.- Cave Story 3D received a score of 8/10 from Nintendo Power magazine, which is pretty darn good. If you want to see the game in action though, there’s a video that you can find here from GamesRadar.
There’ll be spoilers since it’s a ten-minute video running through the game, but it’ll help you decide if you want to pick it up.
