1.- Because The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword launched in November 2011, it makes sense that a new title in the franchise was not present at this year’s E3. Although it wasn’t on the show floor, Shigeru Miyamoto is thinking about the next console Zelda. Miyamoto reiterates that the Zelda HD experience shown at E3 2011 was only made to display the graphical capabilities of Wii U.

“With the last game, Skyward Sword, that was a game where you had motion control to use your weapons and a lot of different items, and I thought that was a lot of fun, but there were some people who weren’t able to do that or didn’t like it as much and stopped playing partway through it,” Miyamoto said. “So we’re in the phase where we’re looking back at what’s worked very well and what has been missing and how can we evolve it further.”
Activision will be publishing the smash-hit mobile game Angry Birds on a variety of consoles. The information was revealed when The Escapist spotted “an eerily familiar, tiny red bird soaring kamikaze-style into the Activision logo’s giant “A” during an Activision promo reel being shown off at E3. Expect to hear which consoles it’s being launched on in the next couple of weeks.
Electricpig’s Adam Bunker thinks that “Wii U will be the most confusing console in history.” Bunker believes that Wii U will not sell well because it’s not simple enough. He claims that the reason Wii sold so well is because it is a simple concept that everyone understood.
Bunker thinks that there are way too many controllers for the upcoming console, which willconfuse people - including video game developers. Bunker claims that Nintendo did not learn from their mistakes with the marketing of Nintendo 3DS, which proves that Nintendodoesn’t know what they’re doing with Wii U.
Shigeru Miyamoto has told Joystiq that the new and original game that he’s been working on may not be shown until next years E3 event. Miyamoto revealed that he was working onsomething fresh earlier this year, but he wouldn’t disclose what it involved.
“People like to ask me if I want to do a small project with a small team. I do like working with a small team, and I’m working with a number of small teams on a lot of different ideas, but the problem is because of all these different roles that I have to fulfill, it takes me a long time to write the design document.”
He added: “maybe this time next year I’ll have something ready to show you that perhaps will illustrate that idea.”
