Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- I’m not sure whether or not The International Business Times have misinterpreted Satoru Iwata comments but they’ve stated on their website that the Wii U will launch April 2012.

We know that Satoru Iwata has previously said that the Wii U will launch after April 2012 but I haven’t heard anyone say that the console will actually be out during April 2012.

Nintendo intends to launch its next generation console the Wii U next year on April 2012.

2.- Super Mario 3D Land gameplay footage to be found, plus it’s an awesome commercial. If you haven’t already seen it then check it out now!

3.- UK super market chain Asda will be selling the Wii for a mere £89 ($140) as the company prepares for the Christmas onslaught. The white Wii console includes both Wii Sports and Wii Party making it a fantastic deal for anyone that has yet to pick up a Wii.

Nintendo of America has unleashed the first wave of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swordtelevision adverts. The new advert which is titled Falling Swords depicts exactly that with Link’s trademark Sword and Shield crashing through into apartment buildings finished off with some super smooth gameplay footage. Not a bad effort at all.

Here’s a wonderful infographic produced by ColourLovers which shows just how far video games have come since the early days of playing Pong in black and white. We often forget quite how far video games have come, so this is a great reminder.
