Information Update // Noticias Nuevas - Nintendo 3DS & PSVita

Information Update - Nintendo 3DS

1.- There is a new overview trailer for Mario Kart 7. You can check it out after the break.

More After the Break...

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has confessed in a statement that their anti Tanooki suit campaign was in fact just a joke. Clearly they managed to troll quite a few people including a variety of mainstream news outlets.

Mario fans: Relax! PETA’s game was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, a fun way to call attention to a serious issue, that raccoon dogs are skinned alive for their fur. We wish real-life tanukis could fly or swat enemies away with their tails and escape from those who profit from their skins. You can help them by never buying real fur.

2.- Despite receiving rave reviews from the majority of gaming publications GameSpot has awarded The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword a mere 7.5/10.

The publication states that there just aren’t enough fresh ideas in the game and it feels more like a nostalgic retread of previous titles. That being said GameSpot says that those looking for an exciting adventure will find plenty to enjoy in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Nintendo of Japan has recently uploaded an action packed commercial for the soon to be released Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I’m playing through the game at the moment so I’ve tried my best to refrain from watching it. If you don’t want your experience to be spoiled then don’t watch it! Otherwise, enjoy.

Revered Japanese gaming publication Famistu has awarded The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword a perfect 40/40. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the third Zelda game to receive 40/40 from Famitsu after the legendary Ocarina Of Time and Wind Waker.

3.- Sony has announced two gift packs for pre-ordering PlayStation Vita in Europe.
Users can select a pre-order gift pack featuring either a set of blue in-ear headphones with the PlayStation logo or a leather PlayStation Vita game wallet that can hold three games and three memory cards.

Both gift packs will also include a PlayStation Network voucher that can be redeemed for the following:
  • A €5 (£4.28) discount on one of the following PS Vita games on PlayStation Store: Little Deviants, Super Stardust Delta, Hustle Kings, Escape Plan.
  • Exclusive PS Vita items for PlayStation Home: PS Vita T- Shirt, Sunglasses, Headphones, Trainers and Bag.
  • Exclusive early access to Frobisher Says! on PS Vita.
  • An exclusive PS Vita Avatar for PlayStation Network.
4.- Famitsu in Japan is teasing new details from Kingdom Hearts 3D that are coming in the next issue. They will apparently be talking more about the new worlds found in the game.

The issue should hit the streets on the 24th but there may be leaks as early as next Tuesday.

Nano Assault is absolutely beautiful. There’s a few new screenshots that will surely make you drool.

Zen Pinball 3D was announced a while back and now we have reports that the game may launch this year. According to Zen Studios, the game is complete and they hope that it will be approved in the US in the next few days so that the game can be released sometime during late November and early December.

Need for Speed: The Run has a lot of Burnout-esque features, which will probably satisfy fellow fans of arcade racers. Of course, with Mario Kart 7 coming out so soon it might be hard to justify picking up two different racers (even if they are very different), but there’s two videos.
