1.- Take this information with a pinch of salt but according to Nintendo Enthusiast theNintendo Network will bring new features that haven’t been used before by Nintendo and the network itself will be a rival to Microsoft’s Xbox Live and Sony’s PlayStation Network.

“A source that wished to remain anonymous has told us that Nintendo will launch a website accessible from any web browser that will handle configuration of your Nintendo Network account for use on the Wii U or 3DS. He also stated that Nintendo Network will include many new features that haven’t been used before by Nintendo. According to his accounts: Nintendo Network = Sony PSN = Xbox Live.”

A tipster who wishes to remain anonymous has told Sonic Stadium that Sumo Digital is hard at work creating a sequel to Sega’s competent Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. The game is apparently being developed for the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. Surprisingly PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions weren’t mentioned by the developer.

2.- Nintendo reconfirmed to Industry Gamers at this years Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that the company still hasn’t finalised the Wii U controller. 

IGN previously took issuewith the fact that the Wii U controller features Circle Pads instead of Analogue Sticks and that the controller features two traditional shoulder buttons instead of Xbox 360 style triggers. It admittedly seems fairly unlikely that Nintendo will change these features, but you never know. We shall see the final Wii U controller design at E3 in Los Angeles in June.

With the Wii U, much of the criticism comes down to the size and weight of the controller. Having had it in our hands, we don’t believe this will be an issue. The button and circlepad placement is comfortable and it will be easy to hold with one hand. Though Nintendo didn’t confirm that the controller design is final, we definitely feel they are close to a finished product.

Nintendo has finally revealed the super-colourful box-art for Mario Party 9 which is due to be released in Europe on the 2nd of March. Mario Party 9 sees a few new gameplay addition to the popular franchise which can be found here and is exclusive to Wii. Mario Party 9 also comes out in North America a few days later on the 11th of March.

I already shared my doubt that the appearance of a “Nintendo Network” logo on the box art for a game was more than a re-branding of the 3DS’s network connectivity features. And that was before I was reminded thatMario Kart 7 connects to the Nintendo Network every time you want to play against others via the internet.

But a conveniently anonymous source has apparently said that:

If I’m wrong, I’ll be the first to admit it. But this quote is so vague that it could be chalked up to a lucky guess if Nintendo does end up making interesting changes in the future. It also seems to be exactly what people want to hear, which makes me hesitant to believe it’s anything but total baloney.

3.- Square Enix has trademarked the name Final Fantasy Dimensions in the United States and Europe. They’ve also registered the domain name. As such, it appears that a new Final Fantasy game is being worked on. But the Dimensions sub-title is leading people to believe it’s for the 3DS, which sounds like a fair conclusion.

The big question at this point though is, what’s the actual game going to be like?
