1.- If the rumour of Nintendo adding a second circle pad to the Nintendo 3DS proves to be true then we could start to see an influx of PlayStation Vita games making their appearance on the Nintendo 3DS according to EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich.
“The days of publishers developing a single game for multiple technologically differentiating platforms are over. Madden NFL 09for example was developed for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox, Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP, all of which required at least 4 different internal teams. If the 3DS rumors are true and Nintendo plans to add a second analog stick, it would at least group the Vita and 3DS into the same category. While the technological differences would require additional development resources, more so than when an Xbox 360 title is ported to the PS3 (or vice versa), adding a second analog stick to the 3DS at least make game porting between itself and the Vita possible.”
2.- Konami currently has Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D scheduled as a winter title in Japan. We already know that the game has been pushed back in Europe until 2012.
3.- We all have new screenshots from Sonic Generations that give us a better look at Casino Night and Emerald Coast, along with the Japanese box art!
4.- Drive Renegade 3D looks pretty good, but it’s going to be overshadowed by Mario Kart 7 and Need for Speed: The Run.
It’ll probably be the best blend between realistic driving and craziness though, so I think it’s worth keeping an eye one, and maybe even a purchase further down the line.
5.- UK trade publication MCV has conducted a survey to find out who exactly who plays Mario Kart. The results are interesting as out of the 6,835 people surveyed 56 per cent of players are male, and 44 per cent are female. Here’s a few of the reasons why people play Mario Kart:
“It makes me laugh or feel happy”“I can play it for short periods of time”.
6.- Natsume has revealed that their upcoming 3DS games have been delayed. Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Townsand Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove are now set for an October release. Natsume says the reason for the delays is because of slow sales of the 3DS.
7.- New screenshots from Tekken 3D Prime Edition of both gameplay and a scene from the movieTekken Blood Vengeance (which is included with the game itself).
