Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Nintendo of America has just launched the Nintendo Ambassador page. The page allows you to see if you’re eligible for the twenty free Virtual Console games.

Anyone who purchased a Nintendo 3DS before August 12th and accessed the Nintendo 3DS eShop should automatically be eligible for the twenty free Virtual Console games. Do NOT include the last number (the one in the square box) when entering your Nintendo 3DS serial number.


2.- There’s a rumor spreading that Sonic will be playable in Super Mario 3D Land. This is not true. Sarcastic Gamer wrote this piece under their “Fiction Friday” category and other sites unfortunately picked it up as legitimate news.

We’ve seen screenshots of Mushroom Hill in Sonic Generations 3DS and they look gorgeous. Now we have some of the first footage and it’s even more awesome.

3.- In line with the price drop of the 3DS, Ubisoft has seen an “eight-fold” increase in the sales of their software for the platform in Europe. This is a very positive sign. As always though, what matters is if the momentum can be maintained through Christmas and beyond.

US retail chain Best Buy are apparently offering a number of Nintendo 3DS games for $20 next week according to a user on Neogaf. The games will be available for a mere $20 from August 21st through to August 27th.

4.- New screenshots of Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure which show off some of the characters in action.

5.- HMV has announced that they’re partnering up with Nintendo and X Factor band One Direction to give out One Direction Mii characters on the Nintendo 3DS.

From Monday August 22nd, Liam from One Direction will be distributed as a QR code on the One Direction Facebook and Twitter feed. From Friday August 26th the rest of the band will become available from HMV stores. If you purchase a Nintendo 3DS then you’ll also be able to obtain the QR Codes for the band members.

6.- Gamers who pre-ordered the Xenoblade Chronicles bundle from Game or GameStation in the United Kingdom were meant to receive three exclusive A1-sized posters, digitally signed by the game’s developer.

Nintendo didn’t make it clear that the exclusive Xenoblade posters were only available to those that ordered the bundle in-store. Nintendo have since apologized and it seems as though they will be offering out the posters free of charge.

SCEA’s director of hardware marketing John Kolelr has told Gamespot that the company’s arms are ‘wide open’ for Wii fans to climb aboard the PlayStation brand. Sony announced earlier this week that it has cut the recommended retail price of the PlayStation 3 to $249.

7.- From the latest issue of Nintendo Acción, ResidentEvilCenter scanned and shared with us new screenshots and details of Resident Evil: Revelations. According to the detail, all the enemies are infected by the new T-Abyss virus, created by the terrorist group who are known as Veltro. 

It is also revealed that in Chris’s scenario, it takes place in Valkoinen Mokki, Finland, in the mountains somewhere near the airport, where Veltro’s hideout is located. From these new screenshots, we see two new types of enemies; one type is a piranha, and the other is a shark. We also see some screenshots of Jill and Parker swimming through some water environments, while being attacked.

1.- Nintendo of America acaba de lanzar la página de embajadores de Nintendo en la que los jugadores podrán comprobar si optan a los 20 juegos gratuitos, comenzando desde el 1 de Septiembre.

Todavía Nintendo no ha abierto un sitio web así para Europa, por lo que habrá que esperar un poco.
