Information Update - Nintendo 3DS


1.- Nintendo has confirmed today’s rumour of a Nintendo 3DS conference taking place in Japan on September 13th. The trade show will focus on the Nintendo 3DS and will be held in Tokyo.

Nintendo is also expected to show off a big, "extremely big" new unannounced game for the 3D handheld.

French gaming site 01Net who received leaked information about both the PlayStation Vita and Wii U are reporting that Nintendo is currently busy prepping a redesign for the Nintendo 3DS. Apparently the redesigned Nintendo 3DS will launch sometime next year.

“This information corroborates several elements we obtained very recently from various sources. According to them, Nintendo is currently preparing a new 3DS for a 2012 release. This new version would radically tone down the whole ’3D’ angle, with a new design and even probably a different name. In that perspective, the radical price-slashing, touted as a measure to boost sales, would also be a way to liquidate current stocks to make way for the successor…”

2.- There is a series of rumours flooding out of 01net, and not all of them sound like they’re within the realm of plausibility. But they were incredibly accurate with rumours relating to the Wii U, so it’s hard not to give them at least a little attention. 

Anyway, the first rumour is that Nintendo is supposedly adding a second circle pad to the 3DS. But instead of it being a part of a redesign, it will be released as a $10 accessory. The idea is that this accessory would attach itself to the right side of the 3DS. Remember, it’s just a rumour though.

3.- The Official Nintendo Magazine is reporting that the newly designed Wii console which will be released later this year is exactly the same size as the current console. 

The redesigned Wii sits on its side rather than vertically and lacks Gamecube compatibility.

4.- Square Enix has revealed that Heroes of Ruin will be playable PAX 2011 from August 26th to the 28th. 

This will be the first time that Heroes of Ruin will be open to the public, so there’s a chance we’ll get a closer look at the game in action.

The first screenshots from The Adventures of Tintin on the 3DS have been shared online, and they look alright. I guess most of the interest though will lie within the nostalgia trip.

5.- Nintendo of America has announced today via press release that the super-fun Kirby Returns To Dreamland will be released in the United States on October 24th. 

The game is called Kirby’s Adventure Wii in Europe and is scheduled to be released in December.

Nintendo has released a new trailer for the awesome-looking Kirby Returns To Dream Land. We found out earlier today that the game is currently scheduled to be released in the United States on October 24th.

1.- Nintendo ha confirmado hoy el rumor de una conferencia de prensa para la Nintendo 3DS que tendrá lugar el 13 de Septiembre en Tokyo, Japón.

Se espera que Nintendo anuncie un juego "tremendamente enorme" en la conferencia para la 3DS.

01Net, que recibieron información filtrada de la PlayStation Vita y Wii U, están reportando que nintendo está en vías de desarrollo de un rediseño de la 3DS. Aparentemente, el rediseño saldría el año que viene.

2.- Hay una serie de rumores que van saliendo de 01Net, y la verdad es que son bastante creíbles. Teniendo en cuenta que acertaron en todo lo concerniente a la Wii U, se merecen al menos un poco de atención.

El rumor es que la 3DS podría tener un segundo análogo en forma de accesorio, fácilmente colocable en el extremo derecho de la consola.

3.- El Official Nintendo Magazine reporta que la nueva consola de Nintendo Wii es del mismo tamaño que el diseño antiguo, y que lo único que cambia es que no lee discos de GameCube.
