2.- We all knew that Nintendo had implemented a Zelda themed level in Super Mario 3D Landand now we’ve got exclusive footage of the homage to the Legend of Zelda Series.
Unfortunately Mario doesn’t weld a sword, but you can jump into the Boomerang Suit.

According to one of the member’s of Neogaf the Super Mario 3D Land cartridge contains elements of the November firmware update. Once you’ve installed it your firmware will be updated to version 2.2.0-4J and you’ll be given the opportunity join a friend’s game in progress, presuming they’re playing online and you have the same game.

The firmware adds features including:
  • a button that allows you to join a friend’s game online directly from the Friend’s List.
  • a feature that automatically moves friends who are online to the top of the Friend’s List.
  • the ability to scroll through your Friend’s List more quickly by pressing Left or Right on both the Circle Pad and the D-Pad.

There’s no word yet on whether these features will be included in the larger firmware update coming later this month, but I’d be surprised if they weren’t.

3.- The VGA Game of the Year nominees have been announced and they include The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Batman: Arkham City, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Portal 2 and Uncharted 3. The event takes place live on December 10th. Please make sure to vote!
Nintendo America has uploaded a new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Origins trailer. Like all the other trailers Nintendo America has uploaded this has spoilers in it, so if you don’t want to taint your experience then I suggest refraining from watching it! The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is released November 20th in North America and November 18th in Europe.

There are new screenshots from three different stages in Shinobi that you can check out.
