More After the Break...
All courses are looking absolutely fantastic! Also, on the Nintendo Japan site for Mario Kart 7, there are short clips as well for each character, which show the new Rainbow Road, which is looking beautiful.
2.- Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has told Portugese site My Games that the company is hard at work creating a brand new Zelda title for the Nintendo 3DS.
“We are already preparing a new game, a game in the series for the Nintendo 3DS, but don’t think that it is a direct sequel to the Zelda titles released on DS. We are talking about a new game, but it takes much of what has been done on previous consoles.”
Eiji Aonuma was also quizzed about the much-requested Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask remake and stated that its’ something Nintendo has been thinking long and hard about.
“It’s something I’m asked about often and I assure you that it is something I’ve spoken to Miyamoto about. But recently we released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D as a remake. We are considering the idea, but it didn’t seem right to launch a remake one after another, so the next Zelda game on 3DS will be original.”
- • Lanayru Desert and the Lanayru Mining Facility: In this vast area, surrounded in all directions by sand, Link must search for the Lanayru Mining Facility. As strange a place as this is, Link will encounter characters both new and familiar, such as Gorons. Inside the Lanayru Mining Facility, Link will follow the path of mine carts through this expansive area, experiencing new puzzles and challenges. He must also face the dungeon boss Moldera, a fearsome giant scorpion.
- • Sand Ship: Late in his quest, Link returns to a different area of the Lanayru Desert as he sails across a sea of sand in search of a hidden ship.
- • New Items: In the desert, Link will receive two new items – the Claw Shots and the Gust Jar. The Claw Shots allow players to grapple and pull themselves toward otherwise unreachable areas. The Gust Jar can blow a burst of air to stun enemies or clear paths through piles of sand. Players will find the Gust Jar essential to solving the puzzles in the Lanayru Mining Facility.
3.- Siliconera has found out that Nintendo has patented an accessory that you slide onto a standard Wii remote which turns it into a touchpad. Interestingly enough the rumour I posted a few days ago regarding a new Sonic game for Wii U mentions this exact patent.
4.- Sony has announced that it’s set to host a PlayStation Vita tour in Japan which is dubbed the PlayStation Vita Play Caravan: National Demo Tour. The event will start November 19th and is basically a chance for Sony to show off the device and give the public a hands-on preview. Hopefully we will hear of a similar tour before the PlayStation Vita launches in the West on February 22nd.
5.- There are new screenshots from Tekken 3D: Prime Edition that show off various characters, stages and even touch screen control layouts.
