More After the Break...

Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing a system update that will enable 3DS owners to capture 3D video footage. People will be able to record and view moments from birthday parties, soccer games and holiday events, or create their own original 3D productions and show them to others in 3D, all without the need for special glasses.

The system update will also provide new experiences for people who have conquered all the StreetPass challenges in StreetPass Mii Plaza. Iwata has confirmed that a firmware upgrade during November 2011 will bring 3D video recording to the 3DS.

Nintendo has confirmed that the second Circle Pad attachment for the Nintendo 3DS will be launching in Japan on December 10th for ¥1,500. The unit will run off the power of a single AAA battery, inserted into the underside.

Here’s a few choice shots of the Circle Pad peripheral that was officially unveiled at the Nintendo 3DS press conference last night. As expected there seems to be mixed reactions about the device online.
